Tell me how you feel.... Nov 28, 2005 7:19 am
Mood: aggravated, 973 Views
I don't like talking about serious matters in my blogs. I'm here to have some fun, talk some nonsense, make a few friends, even 'needle' a few when I know they can take it with a sense of humor. But I find there are some who clog/hog the space we have with things they have cut and pasted that others have said. I'm not sure what the rest of us, that don't want to read that kind of thing, can really do about it. They have the right to post whatever they want, as long as its approved by SFF. As for me, now that I know who they are, for the most part, I will just skip over them from now on. The problem is, and Gets pointed it out awhile back, When they post these thing in mass quantities, it pushes the 'Good Blogs' out of site. I'm sure I've missed many great blogs from folks I like due to this problem.

Am I the only one who feels this way? Tell me how you feel about it....Later...Barbara

A Response to an Earlier post by GETS Nov 28, 2005 6:53 am
Mood: sympathetic, 972 Views
I don't usually do 'Research' for a blog, but this time I did. I'm responding to a blog posted by 'Gets' on Oct.16th. He was responding to an earlier blog posted by 'Parisdreamer10'. Her question was, What do men think about women getting boob jobs? Gets gave his views, and I thought they were quite nice for the most part. There was just one thing that stuck in my craw. The Pencil Test. Now admittedly he never once took credit for it, but he didn't say where he got it from either. Maybe its just a 'Standard Test' in Texas.

I decided while I had a variety of women to help me out, during the Holidays, I would do some research into the subject.

Heres what I came up with, as to the ability to hold said 'Pencil'.
Me personally? I revealed my ability on my response, via 'Sirgets' original post.

Ms 58,(2nd marriage, 5 children,C-cup)definetly. Ms 32 (Mother of 2,DD-cup) definetly.
Ms 25 (petite newly wed, A-cup) could not.
Ms 18,(Single,athletic,C-cup)Yes,Yes,Yes.
Ms 17 (Single,Athletic,B-cup) No she could not. Ms 16,(Into boys,not sports,B-cup)Yes.
Ms 16 (athletic A-cup)No.

The point I'm trying to make, and do believe I have, is this. Small women with small breasts 'donot succumb to gravity' as quickly as those of us with larger 'Bosoms'. Age,Physical activity & childbirth plays a part also.

This leads me to believe that Gets has spent his time with 'Small women, with small breasts'. I'm pretty sure that I read Somewhere, that is his preference. He has the right to do that without explanation. I have the right to disagree with anyone that thinks I need a 'LIFT' just because I can hold a pencil under my Double D's.

This was a fun little test for all concerned, and in conclusion I'll just say this. I hope there are still some men out there that appreciates us women that are a little older, a little saggier, but still get excited when carressed.( If my memory isn't failing me too).

Question; What can you do to make 5 pounds of fat beautiful?

Answer; Add a Nipple to it...........

"It's Me, It's Me, It's Me" Nov 26, 2005 9:18 am

You may or may not have noticed, I posted a pic on my profile. I have to admit you can't really see ME. It was the only one I could find, and I found it quite by accident. I was looking through the pic's we made in Washington. The date is wrong, because someone was fooling around with the camera. It was taken in April 2004, at 'Snoqualmie Pass'. The snow was dirty and melting, but I loved it. My first experience with snow.

I thought I had 'Cropped' it but apparently I didn't. Maybe later I will get the hang of it,get my camera fixed,or get a new one, and post a more current picture.......later Barbara

Are You High Mantainence, or not. Nov 23, 2005 6:13 am
Mood: grateful, 946 Views
Not much to read in BlogLand this morning. Some I really enjoyed, like Satins post on 'High Maintenance'. I think we all should take the time to write at least one post about this subject. Are we High maintenance or not?

There is no way Anyone could accuse ME of that. And I'm not in denial, its just True. I have only one thing that I want on a regular basis. I want my hair permed. I'm told that I have lots of hair, but the shafts are very thin, baby fine. Without a perm to perk it up, it lays so flat that it looks as if I don't have much hair at all. I do it every 3 to 4 months. I went yesterday for that ritual. Most of you know that if you find a good hairdresser, you better stick with her,am I right? Earlier this year I was totally amazed when I went to a salon in 'Wal-Marts', and got the best perm ever. Loved it. Four months later I go back, get a different hairdresser, but my card explains exactly how it was done, so, Voila, another great perm. I'm not believing my luck. So yesterday, back to the same salon, same hairdresser, DISASTER. no curls, just fuzz. Bare with me now, same salon, same hairdresser, same size perm rods, so what happened? As I went to pay, Yes I did pay, she said, "I used a different Perm this time" meaning a different brand. Trust me its not over yet.....but as Gets would say "I Digress".....

Ok...
1. I need my Perm.
2. I need my mascara.
3. I need my lotions.
4. I need good shoes that fit just right.
5. I need my Jeans and T-shirts.
Thats all I can think of that are physical.

For my mental state.
1. I need my Family.
2. I need the solitude and comfort I get in my Prayer closet.
3. I need enough money to keep my bills paid.
4. I need Friends, that keep me sane, or accept me when I'm a little Crazy.
5. I need Respect, I can forgive anything but disrespect.

theres 10 things I need, now, what I don't need.

1. I don't need manicures/pedicures.
2. I don't need to shop in expensive stores, and never do.
3. I don't need to be Wined & Dined, I find the food in expensive places not that great. I like to get my money's worth. I don't drink at all.
4. I don't need someone to take care of me, I'm doing just fine.
5. I don't need to go to the Spa for a massage, suntan, or anything else they have to offer.

For my mental state.
1. I don't need distrust in my life, from either side.
2. I don't need dishonesty from anyone.
3. I don't need someone glued to my hip, it makes me crazy.
4. I don't need jealousy.
5. I don't need judgemental people in my life.

A few things I would like to have, if they ever come my way.....

1. More Friends
2. That special man that wants to be with me, and I him, not for need but for want.Sex included.
3. A closer relationship with my x, I hate it that he won't move on as I have.
4. More time with my G-Children.
5. More adventure in my life, before I get to old to enjoy.

HIGH MAINTENANCE???? I think not....later Barbara...

A Going Away Party Nov 22, 2005 6:07 am
Mood: contemplative, 960 Views
I would like to expand a little on a post by 'honeybunz2'. It was a simple Iroquois Prayer of Thanksgiving. Very beautiful. Now if you stop and think about it the Native Americans were conquered by a people that wanted to come to this country for 'Religous Freedom'. As it happened the only way they knew how to do that was to kill the native people and steal their land. They justified that act, because they considered them 'Heathens'. They based that, from what I've been told,on the fact that the 'Heathens' Prayed Prayers like the one Honeybunz2 just posted. They could not understand the depth of their devotion to the Creator, and all he had provided for them. Their assumption was they were worshiping 'Trees','Rocks','Water','The Sun,Moon & Stars',Which as most of you know, is a NO NO. Having no written word, they had to depend upon Oral history.(no KJV). In My peoples history they tell of a man spending time with the people, that said and did things, and looked the same as what is written in the Bible about Jesus. All Tribes are not the same, but they all have their stories. The Native people did become 'Hostile'. Wouldn't you if you realized someone was going to move into your Home even if you asked them not too? I'm not trying to start another 'Indian War', but I practice the Religion, and attend the Ceremonies of my Creek ancestors. The Devotion, and Reverance for our Creator,Giver of Breath, is Phenominal. Read Honeybunz2's other post 'On Being Indian'. Thank You Honey, Your my kind of People.

P.S. Did you realize Columbus was DRUNK and lost when he first encountered the natives? Thats how we got the name 'Indian'.

Another tidbit of History...The First ThanksGiving......The Natives (Indians) Thought they were throwing a 'Going Away Party'....LOL

Peace and Love to all....Barbara....

Last week I had a painting class in the neighboring town. By the time I got everything packed back into my SUV, affectionately know as 'White Lightning', I realized it was 2:30 and I hadn't eaten all day. It wasn't far from my sons house so I decided to drop by. My Grandaughter would be home from school, and I would just join her for whatever she was snacking on. My Grandaughter is into sports, mainly Fast pitch Softball, and Basketball. When I got there the house was full of girls. 16 & 17 yr old girls. I know them all, because I had the priviledge of being a chaperone for the team when they went to the "State Play-off's". I was unable to go when they went to the "World Series". Just had to put that in "I'm So Proud". I said I had come by to see what they had to eat. They said that was why they were there too, they were hungry, and Andi had promised to feed them. I don't know who said it but someone said "PIZZA". There went a sizable chunk of the money I had just worked all day for. While we waited for the Pizza we all kinda piled up on the bed. Someone pulled out some computer print-out's of 'Dirty Jokes' and started to read them. Some were funny, and some were down right filthy. I'm not sure if it was right or wrong, but I joined in the laughter, and scolded them when they got a little to raunchy. I don't remember all the jokes. I'm only going to tell you one, and hope it doesn't offend anyone. OK. What do you call a Truck load of Dildos?....Answer.....Toys for Twats.....Later Barbara

I'm Gonna Rock His World Nov 19, 2005 7:41 pm
Mood: lonely, 919 Views
Yesterday I over heard two women talking in the laundry mat. One of them had a little boy with her, about four years old. His fingers were bandaged, and that was the topic of conversation. Seems he was visiting his Grandparents and they had an old fashion weiner roast in the back yard. Next day while cleaning up he was told to stay away from the fire pit because the coals were still hot. Like most kids, soon as their back was turned he had to 'test' to see just how hot. Turns out the burns weren't that bad, but bad enough to make him more cautious in the future. "Once Burned Twice Shy"...And aren't we all that way? Hot coals aren't the only way to get burned. There are all sorts of things we refer to as getting burned. For instance, when we get scammed out of money we say we got burned. If on or jobs someone takes credit for our work, we say "He really burned me"..True these burns don't leave visible scars, but they do scar us on the inside. The most devastating of all is the burn we get from someone we love, when they betray our trust. Talk about being cautious. I'm sure everyone has either had it happen to them or has a close friend they suffered through it with. I can see how getting badly burned could stop you from Loving anyone ever again, if you let it. I'm determined not to let that happen to me. I know there is someone out there thats looking for someone to Love, just like me. Thats been hurt, just like me. That will never give up, just like me. Someone that still has a lot of Love to give, just like me. And guess what folks, when I find him I'm gonna Rock His World....later....Barbara

Why buy the cow, when you can get milk free Nov 19, 2005 5:55 am
Mood: bitchy, 1010 Views
A long time ago when I was young, married, and rasing my five children, I was talking one day with a Friend who was divorced. I made the statement that I could live the rest of my life with out SEX. Absolutely,no problem. She laughed and said "You could not"...."It's because you have it regularly thats all,if you didn't have someone you would be out looking". I disagreed with her for years...years...Now that I'm alone, I think back, and realize how foolish I was..
Another (Former) friend told me that during her marriage she had several 'Lovers'. They were in constant contact. Always wanting to meet somewhere. Her marriage broke up..'surprise surprise'..Suddenly they all stopped calling. Wise woman that she was (snicker, snicker),she figured it out, they didn't really 'LOVE' her,all they wanted was a conquest.(keepin' it clean)....As my Moma used to say,"Why buy the cow when you can get milk free".
My point is this. I learned from both these women. I couldn't have given up sex in my twenties. Heck I don't want to give it up now. As for all those men that flirted with me, and tried to lure me into affairs during my marriage,"Where are you now?" "Hiding thats where.""Cowards"..How about the one who offered to take me to 'Hole-y wood' and make me a Star.........Oh yeah, Guess what, my X is getting Free Milk...lmao....Do you think I should tell him he might not be the only one????NOT......later ...Barbara
