We have another clogger. Or could it be the same one under a different handle? No matter, it has the same effect. Out of 20 blogs on the front page 13 are hers, and 7 are from other people. But here I am, so I'm going to write SOMETHING even if no one reads it.
I was washing some dishes this morning, when my neighbor came outside, that's what got my mind wandering. At first glance he looks like a nice guy. First time I saw him, I thought 'Nice Tush'. The first time we talked, some of the things he said came back to me later, and I thought 'Huh, that doesn't make any sense'. The conversation was mostly about why he was carrying a gun. Every time we talked it got worse. I'm thinking 'this man has a screw loose'. I offered to set my Friend up with him, as a joke, and when she saw him, she said "No Thank You. He comes to the VFW all the time, and he is always arguing with other people". Then last week my Son came by to pick-up my Grandson, and the man comes out all hostile accusing my Son of throwing something at his house. He says "I'll Kill anyone that does that". My Son told him "No I didn't. But if I did I wouldn't be afraid to tell you". My Son is trying to leave because he doesn't want to be late picking up his older Son from school. The man is following along side his truck ranting and raving about what he would do to anyone that crosses him. My Son laughs at him and says, "Yeah I've known people like you all my life, it ain't no big deal, there's crazy people everywhere". I didn't hear everything that was said but I heard that. Later he comes over, rings my doorbell, I open the door just enough to stick my head out. He apologizes, and says the reason he was acting that way was because he is taking some 'ANTIBIOTICS' that are causing him to be erratic. HUH? I ask "Why would you EVER think my Son would throw something at you house? That just doesn't make sense". Then he starts telling me how he had to 'Clean-up the last place he lived'. He said he "Got rid of all the drug dealers in the neighborhood". drug Dealer, drug Dealer what the hell? I went ballistic, and told him some things that I can't repeat here. As well as to keep himself far far away from me.
My Friends and I sit outside a lot, mostly because they smoke, and I don't. Thinking back on things, like, why did he stop and talk when my Black Friend was visiting? Why all the talk about getting rid of drug dealers? Why, when my Mexican Friend was here did he make a point of stopping by and talking about illegal aliens not being welcome where he lives? This man has appointed himself the neighborhood vigilante. He's going to keep us safe from all the undesirables. I think the man is mentally unbalanced, and scary. Another day in the Neighborhood, but this ain't Sesame Street.... Barbara

I've spent a lot of time in the past couple of days looking for an internet site for 'Song Lyrics'. I was introduced to a singer this week-end, that I've never heard before. His name is Marvin Sease, and he is great. One particular song, I wanted the lyrics to, but as yet haven't been able to find them. My friend called his Son and asked him to make me a copy of the CD and bring it to me this week-end,Yeah... I've also developed a fondness for some of the songs on the movies my Grandson watches. One that Winnie the Pooh sings is 'Come Find Me', so I went looking for it too. I didn't find that particular one, but I found a site with numerous Disney songs. I read lyrics to many of them, and they are phenomenal. One that I really like, I C&P, can anyone tell me which Disney Movie it was in? I'll post the answer later....
Barbara
lyrics by Leslie Bricusse. Music by Frank Wildhorn.
I peer through windows, watch life go by, Dream of tomorrow and wonder "Why?"
The past is holding me, keeping life at bay, I wander lost in yesterday, wanting to fly- but scared to try.
But if someone like you found someone like me, then suddenly nothing would ever be the same!
My heart would take wing, And I'd feel so alive, if someone like you found me.
So many secrets I long to share! All I have needed is someone there, To help me see a world I've never seen before- A love to open every door, to set me free, so I can soar!
If someone like you found someone like me, then suddenly, nothing would ever be the same! There'd be a new way to live, a new life to love if someone like you found me!
Oh if someone like you found someone like me, then suddenly, nothing would ever be the same, My heart would take wing- and I'd feel so alive- If someone like you loved me ... loved me ... loved me ...

My little one has found a new game this morning. He got the vacuum cleaner, and I thought, hmmmm how can he possibly make a mess with that. He got busy and just vacuumed everywhere. After a while he turned it off, and by the time I looked around he had taken off the dirt cup and spread all the dust and dirt back on the floor so he could do it again....OMG, this is gonna be a loooong day. And it's finally raining here.
I don't want to be accused of blog clogging, so I'll post another painting on this one...

This is a 18x20 Mountain scene in oil... Barbara

This is a painting I did in the style of the Famed 'Highway Men'. If you've never heard of them, you should google them. It's very interesting. This is a Florida Swamp Landscape Painting, 24X48. Hope y'all like it. Barbara

I'm a standard member, but I can post pictures. I read the guidelines for appropriate pictures, and basically it says we should post current pictures of ourselves. I see a lot of pictures that aren't of SFF members. There are 'Maxine' cartoons, pictures of Pies, cakes, eggplant omelets etc. I've seen pictures of paintings that other members painted. SFF'S will not let me post a picture of my painting. They denied it twice because it doesn't have a PERSON in it. Go figure... Does anyone know why? Barbara

This morning while driving my 7 yr. old Grandson to school, he asked "did you watch the news last night"? I had to say "no", 'cause I don't have time to watch much TV these days. The rest of the conversation went like this. "What did you see on the news"? "There was a Soldier on there that was a Hero. He got burned all over when he was fightin' to keep us safe. I thought he was some kind of monster at first, then they said he was a Soldier. Granny he is a Hero, I hope he gets well soon, it prolly hurts a lot".
