YOU REMEMBERING JUST HOW IT WAS!! RETRACING LIFE'S STEPS When retracing our many steps throughout Life We now can clearly see in our own mines eyes That while we viewed available choices Good reasons always didn't quite apply For Decisions could be made FOR us Through our elders scripted terms Or perhaps strict mandated laws With attached penalties quite firm High School seniors with limited options College acceptance or enter the work zone Or else enlist into our nation's military programs With mom and dad saying move out on your own Alas a few short years of great dating With finally no one to tell you what to do Followed by you finding yourself saying I will forever Honor Obey and Hold True Now follows all those monetary decisons Your paychecks always not quite enough You realize at this point in your life It's simply always going to be rough Then like a ton of bricks it all suddenly hits you Unless you had a rare gifted gold spoon birth You had no Real Dam Choices Only never ending Silent voices Guiding your EVERY STEP TAKEN here on Earth! Our lives are definitely affected by those around us. No man is an island. And our memories do get clouded..... sometimes, by poor memory, but often because some of us prefer to hold on to good memories and let the bad ones go. But sometimes, we find someone who does just the opposite, and those tend to be unhappy people. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
