 The dock .....the floating wooden ramps called "fingers", become artificial reefs and hold much fascination for children......and hungry otters that entertain children by breaking off colonies of blue Mussels and swimming to a nearby finger to eat them.....Sea Anemones of many different colours open and wave their many petals/antennae.....Interesting, colourful fish swim by......

 Of Sparkle what a cute photo of children peering under the dock. Even the dog is having a looky loo. They probably see all the things you mentioned. I never had the pleasure to do that as a child. But I did play in sloughs a lot and fished for tadpoles.....LOL!

Oh....Frog and tadpoles are so much fun......And that time of year when it's finally warm enough to roll up your pantlegs and go wading......Right now it's hard to imagine Spring and frogs croaking, but I have heard the Raven's mating call in the last few days.......
