They made a movie about coffee in the cockpit, "Fate Is The Hunter", 1964. Glen Ford and Susan Plashett, plus many other stars. One of my favorite all time movies. Awful special effects, great story & acting. Back in the day we used to hand the pilots coffee or water over their outboard shoulder.

Hilarious, made me chuckle.

I soloed Riverside Ca early 80s, PP License checkride Carson City Nv mid 80s. Haven't used it since. For arguments sake, the 'coffee spill' caused an indication problem which contributed to a chain of events that brought down a commercial airliner which they tried to blame on a womanising parting pilot... just sayin

You had a lot more hours than I did! It took me around 100 hrs to get to the checkride. 3 different airports and more different instructors. I started in a Tomahawk and finished in a Warrior. Enjoyed the Cessna 172 Hawk XP too. It was just too much on a full plate, with no reason for it. I was the old guy in the movie behind the co-pilot, in the AF and Reserves. Not a 'Rated' position. But I enjoyed it, mostly

I'm finding it kind of spooky to be in any situation that has people gathered together! I cannot imagine a driver ramming into a crowd TWICE within a short time, and both of them being accidents....... FREAKY!
