I remember going to Finnochio's (Spelling?) in San Francisco many times. It was a fun place to go to and take visitors. No one was ever disappointed at the female impersonators.

There were 2 old guys billed as 2 old bags from Oakland. They did 1890s strip tease that was hilarious. When they took their clothes off they had on white long johns.

My Mom had a gal friend and her husband from her high school days, visiting and wanted them to see the show. We took all of us and had so much fun. I can still see the 2 gals hands clapping.

One of the "old bags" owned a boarding house in San Francisco for older ladies. He was arrested for some code violation of his house and that was when they found out what his true job was.

Lots of fun columns in the San Francisco paper!
