Interesting, Ranger. You have told me something I didn't know.
Of course, you are probably correct, it is an SFF glitch. I doubt it will ever get fixed though.

Ranger.

The reason I copy and paste is that I have problems with my hands...also with my neck and shoulders. I have explained that a couple of times...I don't like moaning about my health so maybe you missed my comments about it. I have been unable to type for a long time and though things are improving well, I still have restrictions.

If that means I shouldn't post, then I am sorry...can't believe I've been here so many years and didn't know that!

I do not comment on American politics. But just so you know we get a double dose of it daily on our Canadian news channels. There are discussion groups that dissect American politics up one side and down the other. To top it all off we can view all the American news we want on the channels we get from Seattle. Sometimes it is hard to avoid and not comment on. But when it comes to the blogs I stay away from it.

I've often seen Americans comment on noticing that Canadians seem to take a special interest in American politics. Well Ranger, I'm sure you must be aware that the US plays a large part in overall world politics and therefore it affects everyone. I might add that your blog is most interesting but I have comments, that I hope you won't mind.

I'd like to clarify something here. I'm not sure how much of Canadian news & politics that you're subjected to via your TV channels, but the larger Canadian cities (plus some smaller areas) all receive American & world news (& politics) on their daily local TV channels. We certainly do in Toronto! Furthermore, many of us have friends and relatives south of border so we're in contact almost daily with them and we do discuss (among other things) politics and have our political views, whether we agree on some issues, or not.

I follow politics on a daily blog on the internet and I can tell you that although I'm on a Canadian site, there are quite a few US citizens who, from time to time, give their political views on our government situations. By the same token, many Canadians who do comment also discuss your politics, especially since you have elections coming up soon. As a matter of fact, just today I saw a blog about US and Canadian military ... it was in reference to Khizir Khan and the Clinton Foundation.

Bottom line is I don't feel any of us should close our minds to any political situations going on around us. Certainly most of us feel affected through decisions made by both governments. Many of us fee that we definitely have huge problems with our Canadian government and among us, many disagree. And the world goes on!!!

Very well put FrenchSalsa. Those are my sentiments also. You go for a coffee in a local coffee shop and invariably American politics comes up in the conversation. I think as Canadians we are very well informed about American politics and in particular the upcoming election.
