I really enjoy your blog, Ranger, excellent! My hubby served 33 years
in the Canadian Air Force so basically, I lived a military life and have
kept in touch with many people across Canada! I was very proud of my hubby as I'm sure you were of your father. My father-in-law served in the Canadian Navy during WWII. We also have 3 nephews who served in Afghanistan, one
did 3 tours, returned to Canada during his final tour, having been shot out of
a helicopter. Today he teaches for the RCMP in Ottawa. So proud of him and
family!! They were brave men.

Loved your dad's story. He would have loved swapping stories with my dad who trained staff in motorcycle use in WWII as well as my step dad who is a retired Marine Captain.

Tom, thank you for this info blog. It's a nice read eventually. Good to remember the past. It will always stay in memories. You should be proud of dad too. Your dad has lived a pretty long time. Lucky man,!!
