I was raised on a self sufficient farm so grew up with the idea of animals for food. I also had some of the same kinds of animals as strange pets including an aged cow put out out to pasture named Connie and a chicken I carried around with me for a while named Delilah. It was kind of an unwritten rule that if you named it you didn't eat it. I remember having a discussion about this at work. We all agreed that if the meat in the grocery store had names instead of labels we might think twice about purchasing, It would be harder cooking and eating "Henry" "rump roast"

Plant life, animal life, whatever is eaten by plants or animals basically has to come from other life, fresh or decayed. I eat both plants and animals without a problem, and enjoy what's on the plate.

Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.
