His words ring very true...... and other black men have been saying the same thing...... but what does it get them? Scorn and ridicule from the thugs who think violence and protest is worth more than intelligence and education.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I agree with Barkley. If anyone, regardless of their skin colour, wants to get ahead in life they should not be acting and talking like the people on Maury Povich who yell and scream and hit each other and don't have any idea who the father of their children is. Then there's all the thugs and their half nekkid bimbo girlfriends that are portrayed in almost every black MTV video for decades now. I don't know why anyone would act like these people? We need new t.v. and music video role models for young people before they all end up in jail.
