The criticism directed at Bush, at least the intelligent sort, had nothing to do with his not going to NO. It was that the feds sat on their hands so long before they did anything.

As I have note several times previously, the Vancouver BC urban rescue team got there before the 82nd Airborne.

And I don't buy any of that tripe about the feds needing state approval before they can move in.

I'm not the biggest fan of Obama, but he did more good playing golf than going on site. At least he and his entourage were out of the way of the people doing the real work.

I have been reading this endless criticism of Obama here for a long time. I concluded early on it was mostly due to the thinly veiled racism that is so rampant in the US. This is merely another example of that.

That's right bigblock...do this post demeaning the hypocrisy of those you dislike.

OF COURSE YOU ARE NOT BEING A HYPOCRITE WHEN YOUR NEXT BLOG IS A RACIST "JOKE"

HYPOCRISY SEEMS TO BE VERY SUBJECTIVE TO YOU

There is more than enough blame to go around on the NO tragedy.
But one can't excuse the feds for their inaction by arguing it's the responsibility of the local authorities.

The feds have no problem stepping in when they are inclined to do so.

Actually, I would love to discuss Canada's problems.

But this site is has mostly Yanks as members.

Americans are notoriously ignorant of anything that happens elsewhere unless it affects the US of A in some fashion.

So matters Canadian would draw little attention.

Thus I am forced to deal with US issues.

He is going into the private sector to make big bucks using his former position.

Rather like Slick Willie.
