Lemme ask all White Americans this... If American Blacks have it so good, would you like to trade places with them?

Who is the victim? Not sure if victim is the right word, but the whole community suffers from garbage like this.......... especially the black community because bigots will use these things to say "See? They are all like that." It isn't true, but bigots don't care. They lump entire groups of people together to denigrate them by the actions of a few. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Another no win situation. The perpetrators of these hoaxes only make it more difficult for real victims as well increasing the animosity against them. As for taking it on campus - The intellectual unrealistic social environment academia creates has always been the place where these things happen for as long as there have been campuses. Thanks to the higher powers for security cameras. I recently installed them at my house and they eliminated much of the misbehavior of my residents. After I caught and called them on a couple of things a lot of their complaints and misbehavior ceased. Much as we hate the thought of the "big brother is watching" mentality it does serve a purpose. I am surprised at you for this comment as it so clearly misses the point. No one is saying that anyone is implying that Canadians have it so good or that they are discriminated against. The comment is a complete non sequitur. The whole basis of this racist post (and make no bones about it this post is racist to the core) is that Black people should stop any complaints as they have it so good nowadays. If it simply stopped at outlining the facts of two attempted scams/deflections and obvious frauds then there would be nothing to object to and no right thinking person could do anything other than condemn the perpetrators but when this article then goes on to state :- (Quote " There are so few cases of whites attacking blacks, or so-called white “racism,” that spoiled black misfits must make up stories. To stop these black racial hoaxes, we must throw the book at these perpetrators and demand that anyone involved in racial hoaxes serve jail time and pay restitution to the people they’ve slandered. The entire Trayvon Martin case was built on a lie. Despite the fact that George Zimmerman was found not guilty in the “murder” of Trayvon, he’s still treated like a murderer." Then it crosses the line into blatant racism. Rent was being his usual sardonic self but his question is still apposite. How many white people would like to trade places with black people in the USA? If the answer is very few then you really must ask yourself the question WHY?

Lulu: Using the same logic Jews should be grateful for the Nazi extermination camps since without that there likely would be no Israel. But every cloud has a silver lining. I sometimes express gratitude to that nice Mr. Hitler since, but for him, I would not have grown up in Canada.

I'll be happy to discuss Canada's racial problems. However, as most things Canadian, it's unlikely any of you Yanks would be interested or knowledgeable enough to discuss it intelligently.

The simple fact WAS that there were liars who were caught - that is beyond dispute and reprehensible enough to be condemned. No one is disputing that. The second simple fact is that the second part of this diatribe is a racist rant - if you cannot see that then your reading skills are sadly lacking. as to the colour of the writers skins - I could not give two flying f**ks what colour he is - his article is racist. As Malcolm-x said “If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”
