Shadow-Souls.

Shadow-Souls.

If you send me away,
then you might as well cast our shadows,
out from the heat of the Sun.
And we will have no ‘Shadow-Souls’,
to dance to the music.

When we love,
our shadows dance on walls.
They played hide and seek,
with the Sun when we lay to love,
keeping us hidden in the shade.

And when we make love,
our shadows become ‘Shadow-Souls’,
and carry us into deep emotional caverns.

If you send me away,
where I walk, each painful step,
will be a trail of damp footsteps,
where my shadow cries as a ghost,
a lonely dispirited, a soulless shadow,
a pale ghost of love.

When two are in love,
then completion is joined,
when the shadows of lovers unify,
and become ‘Shadow-Souls’, dark ,
childish depths of emotive fun,
who share the love and play with the Sun.

If you send me away,
then you cast my shadow out,
and the light of day has no sun for me,
that I walk in a silent darkness,
so my shadow dies and I become a ghost.

We used to play shadow tag as kids......

I think shadow love would be much more interesting....LOLOLOL

Have you never played 'Shadow-Love', Rocket, me dear? It's a wonderful game and I played it often as a boy. You made two rabbit heads on the wall with both hands and made them kiss each other, very intimate indeed but so much fun. You should try it, Rocket but one word of warning is not to get carried away because you know what rabbits are like...lol!
