The Saturn Inmates... Part 6.

"This is about Saturn in the Fire Signs. The Fire Signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.”
Jill stopped to giggle before announcing… “You’re a Fire Sign Jack. You’re a Leo.” he said then continuing to read.
“The Fire Signs are naturally direct, bright and optimistic in their approach. They like to take the lead in an enthusiastic way. Should Saturn sit in a Fire Sign then the nature will be less showy and less fiery."
While Jill continued to read, I began to take more notice, sitting up straighter.
“Now we come to the Air Signs, of Libra, Gemini and Aquarius. Oh Jack, sweetheart… Did you know Aquarius was an Air Sign? I always thought it was a Water Sign.”
Jack continued to play with Jill’s hair, the mouth making little ‘Mooey’ noises. Jack shrugged, not really interested.
Jill carried on.
“The Air Signs are communicative and direct, with speech being the operative word. Should Saturn sit in an Air Sign then communication will not be so forthright in coming. And now we come to the Earth Signs, of Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo. The Earth Signs are practical and persevering, cautious and careful in the build-up to what is needed in a material sense. When Saturn sits in an Earth Sign, then practicality has to be learned, as is patience, to make gains.”
“Are you a Virgo, Chuckles?” asked Jack, now speaking with some hairgrips between his lips, so he looked like a ventriloquist in practice.
“I’m a Libra.” I replied.
“Oh, Chuckles, darling…That’s the sign of love, isn’t it?” said Jill.
I shrugged, then nodded to urge the reading on.
"Now we have the Water Signs, of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. The Water Signs are emotive and use sensitivity to express themselves. The feelings are close to the surface and not easy to control. When Saturn sits in the Water Signs, there is a need to allow emotions to flow with ease, so there is no ‘Bottling-up’ of natural feelings.”
“Well, we have no problems with ‘Bottling’ our feelings up, do we Jill?” said Jack.
They both giggled, prodding each other with some rib-tickling, till Jill told Jack to behave and then, picking up the book, Jill continued to find the place and read on.
“This is all about Saturn in Aries. Saturn is a restrictive planet, its measure of time means it can hold you up or set you back. Can you feel that tension already; the times when you have wanted to rush ahead and something happens which upsets the apple-cart, the temper snaps and you lose your cool! Oh! Do you know what Chuckles? I reckon Hulk has Saturn in Aries. He wants things done immediately.”
“I've no idea about Hulk, but do you or Jack have Saturn in Aries?”
Jill giggled and poked Jack in the stomach, saying, “Maybe Jack has, when it comes to love, he wants it as soon as possible!”
Jack shushed the giggling Jill.
“Come on, sweetheart. We haven’t got long, so hurry up.”
“Gosh, Jack, dear…I did not realise the time.”
I smiled. Seeing as none of us had a watch, as time meant nothing in prison, how would they know about ‘Time’?
Jill continued to read.
“Here are the dates of those who are born with Saturn in Aries”
“Between.......And......Saturn is in Aries.
Apr25th....1937....Oct17th..... 1937..... ARIES.
Jan15th.....1938.... Jul5th........1939..... ARIES.
Sep22nd... 1939.... Mar19th....1940.... ARIES.
Mar4th..... 1967.... Apr29th.....1969..... ARIES.
Oct25th.... 1998.....Feb28th.....1999......ARIE S.”
“Does that mean that someone born, say, between April the twenty-fifth, 1937 and October the seventeenth, 1937, would have Saturn in Aries?” I asked.
“Yes… And the same with birthdays in between the other dates.” answered Jill.
“So we have to find someone who was born between those dates?” said Jack.
“It appears so, Jack, darling.” replied Jill, then continued to read from the book.
“Now, for those of you, with Saturn in Aries. Saturn teaches one to take time, to learn the art of patience. Patience! Now there’s a word for the Aries nature to swallow and spit out. You lot, who have Saturn in Aries, hate waiting. You simply want to be off and at it, heading out into the unknown without a plan in your head. You won’t listen or take notice of those who have a wise and old head on their shoulders. You have no time to waste on planning or learning. You simply gallop off into the sunset at a youthful top-speed.”
I wondered about that, allowing Jill’s voice to drift into a distance. It seems my whole life was one of being rushed into things, not that I wanted to rush, more that I was pushed along, or pulled into doing things I had no wish to do.
Jill’s voice drifted back into a noise of understanding.
“But here’s a funny thing. While you can be ‘Gung-Ho’ and impatient, when Saturn sits in Aries, it does rob you of that heated nature, which allows you to volunteer your services. You will stand back, refusing to put yourself up front. It’s a psychological thing, in that you want to be up there, in the lead, yet wait till another gets ahead, then you become critical, feeling you are somehow robbed of your rightful place. You want the ‘Reputation’ but fear the ‘Testing’. Is it that you have an underlying fear of not being able to go the distance, to complete the course? Or is it that you don’t wish to put yourself ahead, in case you make a fool of yourself, whilst others are watching? Take your time and think about what you have read here. Does it make sense to you? Or do you immediately get hot under the collar, burn with resentment, as if this writer is being critical of your nature? Are you a born leader, or does the question make you shrug, as if you couldn’t care less. What makes you hold back from leading the pack? Perhaps the answer lies in being alone and doing your own thing. Ask yourself this, can you walk into a packed hall without feeling that everyone is looking at you… And if they do look at you, do you resent the fact? Saturn in Aries is all about learning to be secure in yourself and to seek a reputation through leadership. What you do and how you act is what gets you a good or bad reputation! Saturn in Aries is all about gaining a reputation, having others look up to you in some way. It has, both, positive and negative actions, in that, if you learn to wait, to evolve and grow, you will find that you will get the reputation you seek. But Aries, by nature, is full steam ahead, so the restrictive action of Saturn can be very trying, like the parent or adult who is always trying to stop you from going out, placing rules and authority over you. Or the teacher who makes you sit down in class, watching you and criticising you for getting things wrong, making you go over things, redoing them, till you get them right! Saturn in Aries holds you back and ties you down; it has you in a headlock, so you can’t move, no matter what you do. It’s just that you have not learned to wait until you feel the restraining arm-lock relax, a time when you can simply walk away free! Know this, the first part of your life is hard, but the second part pays dividends if you have learned from the lessons in life!”
Jill snapped the book shut and the three of us were quiet for a while, considering what Jill had read. It was hard to concentrate. I really was not built for this kind of study. There was no freedom, to roam the mind.
But Alex was expecting something from me and, while Alex came at the bottom of the pile in my consideration, Hulk was the one who had a very large and commanding finger on the button!
“There you are, Chuckles,” said Jill, “Jack and I will leave it for you to sort out for now.”
With that, they took their leave, closing the cell door, giving me peace and some work to do.
Reading down the lines of the planets, shown each year in the book, called the ‘Ephemeris’, I placed a birth-date of the man, who corresponded with Saturn in Aries. I wrote down the name of the inmate.

Good morning to you, Missus Maudie... I'm afraid I'm lagging behind. (No excuse, just bleedin' lazy!)
Take no notice of the Double Swedish! It's there as part of the book. We, you and I shall only bother with the educated bits, like Coddy and Hulk...lol.
I am putting in the name right now on the next installment... Richard is beginning to like Coddy now, although it might take three or four pints and a bottle of Scotch (Irish Whisky!)
