SHOULD HE LOVE YOU.

Should he see you with a mischievous eye
A merry twinkle of enticement
And confesses to thoughts of loving you
Then consider these words…

Should he only think of loving you
Then he has no experience of love’s essence
For, to think of love is to caution a sweet sensation
And to analyse it’s precious core
From whence the honey flows

That he sees you with a smile’s engagement
And charms in sweet dimpled grace
So to convey such a quick communication
Of undying love which fantasises the mind
Then I beg you, separate your heart from his

Love is not in such quick celebration
It pays neither court to a royal mind’s deliberation
Nor in a jump to accelerated conclusion
That any mind fires without illusion’s inspiration
Or does not gain impressions of heaven’s sensitivity
Then such love is not sensitive to the climate of time

But should he admit a benefit of feelings
That his emotions allow him to confess love
Then love him in return
And I shall turn away…
And proud through my tears

But should he only think on love’s comfort
Then his heart has no experience of love
For experience only comes from within the soul
From deep within and is a sweet liquid
Which sugars the effect of what one ‘Feels’
And it is this which brings love to the surface…

Should he only think about love
Then he lacks the inducement of passion
For a passion's experience only comes
From what one ‘Feels’ about love
And such are my true feelings for you
