THE IDEAL OF LOVE.

Know, we poets are love’s sweetest ideal
That we give expression to feeling’s gift
For we love in sensation’s way and feel
All pleasure’s joy in dear heart’s airy lift

For those who limit this soft emotive power
They who affix mind to harsh embrace
And think in terms which find moral’s sour
Do they cry, in lose of heart’s solace

Love is not for strict, logical frame of mind
Nor for a priority that gives rise to hesitancy
Love is love, in its emotive wayward find
Not worth a thought… Just sigh’s blessed be

An ideal of love is to mind’s counter-action
It is high spirit’s chase for sweet satisfaction
