Now Hank...... don't go confusing the issues with facts!

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I am more qualified to be a Daughter of the Confederacy versus a Daughter of the Union. I am sure that my ancestors fought bravely but it was for a bad cause. Robert E Lee actually freed his slaves 8 years before the Civil War began. His wife also taught them to read and write despite the fact that it was illegal. The Confederate Flag represents Southern Pride to some folks. It means something entirely different to others. I won't be flying a confederate flag on my porch nor will I be driving to Lexington to kick Robert E Lee's Tombstone.

Actually the War of the Northern Aggression was the struggle between Old Money and New Money. Old Money wanted to keep the slaves on plantations while New Money wanted them working in the Sweat Shops of the North. People of Color still needed the Green Book to figure out where they would be welcomed on both sides of the Mason/Dixon Line.
