Hi Hiram: Interesting topic. I read the entire Bible last night (lol) and must have missed the part about Jesus being against gay marriage. I did find an actual commandment against 'adultery' though, so I'm wondering if those bakers would bake a cake for someone they knew was committing adultery, or someone who violated one of the other nine commandments. Maybe the bakers just don't want gay people in their bakery.

I'm a Christian, and I think if I owned a bakery, I would advertise my wedding cakes with this policy: "We make wedding cakes for traditional Christian style weddings. That includes the name of one adult man and the name of one adult woman. It also includes figures consisting of not more than one man and not more than one woman. Anything else is not in our product line. However we will do custom orders, in which names or ornaments may be omitted, and which customers are free to add to, subtract from, or otherwise modify themselves to suit their individual needs. We also carry a full line of cake decorating materials, tools, lettering stencils and individual doll ornaments that are available for purchase." That's just how I'd handle the problem if it were my bakery. GBU all, Gavin

I understand the Bible is against a lot of things, adultery, murder, pre-marital s*x, fornic*tion of any kind, etc. etc. etc., but if those bakers are claiming they refuse to bake a cake for only one kind of sinner because of their religious beliefs, then no-one believes them.
