obvious this maggie is a shill. 'concrete evidence' has barry running guns in a much bigger sense, more common to world affairs than these tragic events. barry is delivering the message spun to deceive.

We have laws pertaining to driving a vehicle. You have to pass a driver's test in order to drive legally. Driver's licenses have to be renewed. You have to carry insurance on the vehicle. You have to register the car. Some Vehicles have to routinely pass inspections. Seat belt laws have been put into place to protect individuals. Gas emissions laws have been enacted to protect everyone. Speed limits have been set to limit the number of deaths that occur on our highways.

So why not gun laws? No one has suggested taking everyone guns away...

It does matter. The laws do save lives.

Hi Maggie: Guns will never be banned in the U.S. and the gun laws will never change much because the pro gun lobby groups, NRA, and gun manufacturers control the politicians by donating huge sums to their campaigns. Who knows what other 'donations', inducements or even threats the politicians receive?? The only hope is for any of these political donations to politicians be prohibited. I heard there have been over 315,000 shooting deaths in the U.S. in the past ten years, and that doesn't even count all the shootings where the people got shot but didn't die.

Maggie, since my previous reply I just heard the number of shooting deaths in the U.S. in the last ten years went up from 315,000 to over 400,000. Wow how can anyone think the present system of gun control is working???
