Uncanny how you can read the minds of other people...just like God...or so I'm told by believers.

Except that, He's less judgmental than you...and He believes that the freedoms come in all shapes and sizes... or even colours.

No matter who disagrees with his actions I think that quarterback will one day be considered a hero just like other black athletes in the past who took a stand against something they believed was wrong. Jesse Owens and Muhammad Ali for example.

I just read a biography of Jesse Owens and it was astonishing and heartbreaking. As a black athlete with four Olympic gold medals, he was treated like a slave in his own country. Even after he won the gold medals, because he was black he wasn't even allowed to eat in a restaurant and was forbidden entry through the front door of hotels and denied a room. While other white gold medal athletes were making a fortune in endorsements, Jesse Owens died in absolute poverty all because he was black.

I've always wondered about the comments made about President Obama being only half Black - are they trying to say he doesn't qualify as the first Black President, or is he "semi" acceptable because he is half White? Is it meant as an insult or a compliment? What is the importance as to the percentage of Black ancestry?
