I agree with you that there should be some sort of screening for anyone who wants to buy a gun. Our laws here are really tough if you want to own one. You have to really want one to go through the processes here. I think also a mental health check (dare I say a fanatical religious check also?) would be in order ....... This would probably get reaction. But everyone going through an abortion is taking a life, multiple abortions is multiple lives over time. Not everyone who buys a gun takes a life with it but as I said before, they should be screened and have a valid reason for owning one, it should be registered as well and traceable, not allowed to be resold without the authorities knowing who is getting it next. They should have licence and only allowed to sell the gun to someone with a licence. I know these subjects are a can of worms and some will disagree, so be it. Perhaps there are special circumstances, but I think the thing most pro-lifers are against is abortion on demand. Just because someone didnt take their contraceptives, or didnt get the snip, or a vasectomy a life has to be taken to compensate a 'whoops' in their view. I'm not talking about the small percentage here of difficult medical complications here that could endanger the life of the mother. That's a separate issue. In this country there's heaps of people waiting to take an adopted child. I'm not sure what the figures are now, but the majority of women who wanted an abortion were married with a couple of kids already and just didnt want another one. I dont know of any adopted children that were not grateful they are alive. Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.
