Sorry, I cannot help you with this question. I just have a light-weight electric one and hardly need to use it., and I also don't want to deal with the gas mixtures and yanking the cord to start one. I use weed killer around the edge of the foundation and around the trees so there isn't much trimming needed.
I do have a hill by the ditch that could use some heavy duty trimming, but I am not physically able to do it, so when you get yours all done, I'll send you the directions and you can come do mine! LOL.

Well gee Pat, here I thought you would be the one to know, lol. I can't use chemicals around the horses, I don't want them to get sick from eating it. The thick brush I use the bush hog on my tractor, even I wouldn't attack something that big with a weed wacker, lol, I'd be out there twenty four seven if that was the case, and no, I'm not hauling my tractor all the way up there.

I was gonna say 'any Mexican too..' I bought a 'greenworks' 10A electric trimmer online (through Walmarts of all places) a couple years ago. Very powerful. Dual string, and I think they have improved the spool. I would look at greenworks website. I wouldn't buy a battery powered one, just me. Mine is model # 21142, there may be a new # or discontinued. dunno

Goats do great job.

I actually want to get some goats, had a little pygmy goat years ago named Beau, he was given to me because his owner couldn't keep him anymore. Goats can even eat poison ivy without getting sick. Only problem with using goats, they would have to be tethered on the other side of the fence, but I'll look into that. Thanks Rentier.
