No? They took prayer out of the public school system, they also won't allow "Christmas" plays in school. Christmas break is now Winter, as is the Easter reference is Spring Break. It wasn't done by EO, but traditions, or holidays are changing here in the USA. Why? Is this all being done so as not to hurt anyone's "FEELINGS"?

Won't happen but it does make you think - most of us are fairly recent descendants form immigrants.

All "Political Correctness" means to me is the fear of not stepping on someone's toes, because it may hurt feelings, not so much those of the people in the USA, but those on foreign soil, which eventually spread and is now used in defense of race, religion and s-e-xual differences here. As time goes on, I see it is our toes that are being stepped upon, and Americans stand back and watch it happen, not all, some can still see.

Yes, I agree, everything is upside down. Good is bad, and wrong is right.

Yes Mrs Joe, I know the difference of cool and boiling water, and how the frog would react to both.

I am French, father's side, so no, not making fun of them, the family would never forgive me!

Spirit, that should not matter, you move to a country to what, change the traditions/holidays? That would be impossible should you move to a foreign country, so why do we bend to those who move here?

I found out about a month ago that they want to change the history of the Alamo because the real history is offensive to some.

So, does that not also make you wonder how much history throughout time has actually been changed to accommodate the needs of others?

They tried to change some of our life long traditions too. Deeming them offensive to their delicate sensibilities. Thankfully they didn't succeed, or at least they haven't yet, so far, so good.

I'm glad that your traditions didn't change. Aren't traditions of each country unique within it's self? Yes, that's what makes us all so special.

Indeed most of history has been change politics to accommodate political and religious changes. It's so interesting to read different accounts of ancient history and compare. Same with the development of different religions and how and why things were added changed and excluded. These were some of my favorite classes and discussions.

Yes Bill, I believe it is, seems like the task force has been very busy of late.

Columbus is not the man people believe him to be, I share no joy in celebrating the day given to him. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, though I am not religious, it is a day of tradition for me and family.

Speaking as an immigrant, I fully approve.
