FACE TRANSPLANT

I just read about this guy who accidentally (obviously) blew up half his face many years ago. He just had a face transplant. I never heard of that before. in the pic below, the donor's sister just saw her brother's face on someone else. How weird is that?

Sorry about your brother, Lulu. Yes, I could imagine how you must have felt, seeing your brother's grandson, who looked like your brother at that age. You're right about the donor's sister too. Bumping into him without being aware of the situation, would have been overwhelming for her. Thanks for your great comment.

Hi Elaine: I saw his before and after pics on CNN. Amazing all that's involved in a face transplant. The surgery lasted over 30 hours.

It truly is amazing, bijou. I have to admit that of all transplants that are done, it is the only one that has some creepiness to it. Of course, that doesn't alter the fact that it's incredible and could give someone back their lives. Thanks for your comment.

Welcome to my blog, TheHag. It wasn't the first face transplant so you may be right. It's the first time I heard of it though. Yes, modern medicine has come a long way. Thanks for your comment.
