DO YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH?

We all tell little white lies, even those of us that are very honest by nature. I consider myself a very honest person but to prevent hurting someone's feelings, I have lied on occasion. Would you really want to hear the truth 100% of the time?

"Do YOU want 100% honesty?" was the question, Leaf.

I agree with what you said, Pat. It's always amusing when someone lies and later messes up and it all comes out. Thanks for your wise comment.

I have to agree with Pat, somethings are better left unsaid, but now if I don't like a person, I have no problem telling them what's on my mind, or the blunt truth.

Hi Elaine: It's not easy to be open and honest, but if someone asks my opinion I tell them the truth but in the kindest way I can.

For example if a woman friend and I go shopping and she asks me if the slacks she's trying on make her look fat, even if she may look morbidly obese in them I might say something like ..."I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy going shopping with you, but I think the black slacks make you look a lot slimmer".

So I try to be honest but not particularly open, but only gjve my opinion on certain topics when I'm asked for it.

Thanks Rae, I agree with you and Pat. I try not to offend, unless there is no choice. I appreciate your response.

I'm in great spirits today and I hope you are too, Dianne. It is always best to not have to tell a little white lie, I agree. There are times that you have no choice, when you are asked a direct question. Those close to me always get the complete truth, even if it hurts. I expect the same from them. My boyfriend always says that I am brutally honest with him and he's right! Thanks for your comment and a great upcoming weekend.

That would be a great answer and she wouldn't want to buy the wrong thing. This way you stopped her from getting something she looks worse in. Good thinking, bijou. Thanks for your comment.

Now that's funny. If there is anyone here who could handle the truth, it's you, Rentier1.
