ET AND EVERYONE ELSE CAN BREATHE EASIER NOW - THE CHARITY IDEA IS SCRAPPED!!! In ET's blog, she failed to mention that I said NOTHING would be given directly to me. The charity we would have chosen as a group, would have gotten all the funds directly from each member that was giving a . I was hoping to set up an SFF Fund type of thing and have it arranged that each person would call/write and be told how to contribute to that fund. I know that some people can't afford to give anything and that's fine. This was meant for those who have a spare $10 or so in their pockets. This site has had a ton of fighting and I wanted to be proud to be an SFF member. I thought if we did something to help others, we could feel proud to be part of something good. I realize that people give to charities on their own. I do too. It was something to make it special to be a part of SFF. Clearly it was a bad idea and I take full responsibility for it. It was never something that should have been seen as suspicious, given I was never getting the money directly. Elaine Shuel |

Thanks for your kindness, Dianne. I put up this post so everyone will know that the charity idea is now off the table. I thought it was a good idea. I wasn't treated this way, when I set something up quite a few years ago, at another group. Those who didn't want to donate just didn't. Nobody got upset with me for suggesting it or setting it up. I've learned my lesson about bringing up such a thing at SFF. It won't happen again. Have a nice weekend. Elaine Shuel

I tip my cowgirl hat to you Elaine!! You're a good person with a giving heart, and that counts a lot in my book. It's a shame people have gotten so leery of others, sad actually, it's what bad people have done to us in our society and it leaves a burn for those who have had that happen to them, or someone close to them.

I know that some people have been burned by others. I get that. I believe in doing unto others as I would want done to myself. I wouldn't give money out to a stranger on the internet that asked. I would give to a worthwhile charity directly. That's what I wanted but sadly, it won't happen. My hope is that everyone that WOULD have contributed, do so to a charity that means something to them, not involving SFF. Let some good come out of this mess. Have a fantastic weekend!!! Elaine Shuel
