Celebrities in wax #2

These pictures are all from Madame Tussauds in London, England. Outside of the celebrities, there are a couple from the ride we took, and one of the wax hands they create. I hope you enjoy them!!!

Hi Elaine: Great pics. I don't think the Elvis one looked very realistic. I'd love to see Michael Jackson's statue. I heard that these wax statues are accurate as to height, weight etc. I wonder if these celebrities have to go to Tussauds in person to have their statue made?

Thanks Francesca. Some of the wax figures definitely didn't look as realistic as some of the others. I agree that Elvis wasn't great. There was a video at Madame Tussauds explaining what goes into making them. They have fittings and measurements taken. It's a long process.

These are great to see in person. I went to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in San Francisco several years ago. Some were very alike, some not so good.

I remember walking by one and a couple of young guys were a bit behind us. We had seen the figure move its position. We saw the 2 guys approach the figure so we stood ahead of them. One said...is it real or wax? The other said he didn't know. The first one hit the figure with a rolled up program. The figure roared and lunged at him. Scared the daylights out of the guy! We all had a good laugh.

I will never forget it!

That would have scared the living daylights out of me too, Ann. I'm not surprised you never forgot that happened. Thanks for sharing that experience.
