You have all become very important to me!!! Thank you. I was looking at how many posts I've written here. I noticed it's only been about 2 months that's I've been actively blogging at SFF. It's become very important to me. Some might say, TOO important. But who cares what they think? I've been enjoying myself. I've met wonderful people like RosesLady, Dianne, Diane, Francesca, Helen, Rocket, Shartaun03, Nileyears, earthytaurus3, Alfie, Ann, Pat, Spirit, Bill, Dan, Suellen, Doug, Lyn, Maisie and so many others. If I didn't mention you, it's only because I can't remember everyone's name. My memory isn't what it used to be. Yes, there have certainly been differences of opinions and some stress but overall, it's been a truly positive experience. I want all of you to know, it reminds me of when someone becomes important in your life. You wonder how you lived before knowing them. I feel that about most of you. I need to start working on my books more, as this site can be too addictive but even if I cut back (I really should but probably won't. I'll try.), I will continue to keep coming here daily. I am not leaving this site so no need for anyone to say to stay. I am staying. This was merely to let all of you know that I feel like I'm among friends and who could ask for more than that? Thank you to all of you for making me feel so comfortable that I could be myself. That's priceless to me. Elaine Shuel |

I understand Elaine, I always look forward to your blogs and even though we don't know each other, it seems as if there is a friendship building everyday. Yep, and you are correct, this site is a little addictive!!

Well I for one really enjoy your blogs Elaine. It is refreshing to read stuff that doesn't have a political slant on it. I noticed that comments are positive and if someone posts anything that veers off the subject or it isn't what you want to discuss you kindly tell them in a nice way that isn't your thing and move off the subject. I comment you for that. You seem to have quite a following so keep on posting great blogs.

I come here for the same reasons, Dan. Elaine Shuel

When did it say your post was pending review? I went off this site for awhile and came on and approved it. Elaine Shuel

Thanks boogie. I think we should all try to be as open as possible but some people are more private than others. Elaine Shuel

Thank you. You are a nice break from politics and personal insults. I understand about limiting time here. What I do on work days and unless I am between projects is set some limits for myself. In my case 1 blog per day, read blogs am and pm and only write responses in the pm. I also do my best to keep a balance between here and fb, although fb is far more reading than posting. I'm just starting to post articles on my personal site and if that gets intense I may have to reallocate my time . Spiritwoman ^i^

You have "met" many of us through chat. This is the FRIEND FINDER and most of us are seniors.....occasionally a 27 year old sneaks in, HA. Thank you for considering Alfie and I friends. One day try to make one of the bashes and meet these people in person. We have met well over 100 of them, starting in 2006 and our first bash in Florida. Ann

Your blogs are refreshing and interesting and I'm enjoying them very much Elaine!! Elaine Shuel

Thank you, Dianne. I have always felt your support and I appreciate it very much. I was thinking about my post last night and realized that we are like a family here. Some are like a grumpy member of the family (you know who you are. lol). There are the quiet ones, who you know are brilliant but speak up only on rare occasions. The aggressive ones fight with all their siblings most of the time but you can still feel the love. There are the outgoing ones, who are very friendly. The point is that your family is comprised of all types but despite it all, they are still family. Elaine Shuel

As I wrote to Maura, you both should have been on my list. I value your friendship as much as I do those on the list. I just forgot to write down some of the people that have become important to me. Elaine Shuel

That was such a sweet thing to say, Pat. Thank you. It would be a pleasure to meet you and many others I've come to like here. I have to admit that I've never been the party girl type so I've tended to shy away from parties. Now that I've gotten to understand more of what's going on here, I do understand why some people have been cautious. It's all in the past. Elaine Shuel

Thank you, RosesLady. Can I call you Rosie? Thanks for saying that about my being Canadian. I am a proud Canadian and I think that it's important to treat others with respect. I would be very happy to meet members here in Toronto, if I could get myself to do it. As I just wrote above, I've always stayed away from parties. I used to be very shy but if i'm comfortable, I am anything but shy. Dances and such, wouldn't be my cup of tea. I know it's unusual but I haven't met some of my best friends in person. Elaine Shuel

I don't come daily to SFF, but when I come, yours are one of the blogs I like to read. All are about different topics, that's interesting. Thanks again.
