 Hi Gemini: I think it's appalling that in this day and age that any person, business or government is taking any surveys by 'race'. To me it sounds just like Apartheid. Just for example, what is a 'black' person anyway? Does it mean they look a certain way, or were they born in Africa, or is proof of their being 'black' found in a blood sample, or does it mean some distant ancestor was a slave?? Honestly, what makes a person classify as black or Caucausion or Asian in some survey?

I am blonde with green eyes, and my mother is blonde with blue eyes from Northern Italy and my father was from Southern Italy. All of us including all my grandparents have light hair and what I would classify as very pale skin. Everyone is always telling us we need to get more sun. lol Yet on my father's immigration papers and army papers it says he is 'NON WHITE'. OMG, when we are called on to do a survey, what do we answer for 'race'? I always put 'not applicable', because to me classifying anyone by race is b.s.
