We should stop Demonizing Oil

As we know the United States Senate failed to pass legislation to allow the building of the Keystone Pipeline. There is no question that a pipeline to transport crude oil is safer for the environment than shipment by rail or truck.

Our government will miss out on the income tax revenue generated by the wages earned by manufactures, fabricator, builders, and pipeline owners Local government will miss out on the property taxes.

This Canadian oil will shipped and sold on the world market regardless of the Senates action.

It appears the Democrat Party is more willing to bow to environmentalists than to allow workers and the middle class to better itself. Why continue to demonize oil?

Energy from all sources is necessary to continue or better our PROSPERITY!!!

I agree with DanDee & Crazyhorse.

We need and use oil based products-- like it or not.

We must ensure that all top-of-the-line safety precautions are implemented!!

I'm as green as they get.

However, given that people aren't going to emulate me and use public transit, walk, or ride bikes, I think it sensible to opt for the least dangerous delivery system.

That happens to be pipeline.

And, in the spirit of full disclosure, I do own Transcanada stock as well as Suncor and other oil extraction companies.
