We have same experienced when Don had his cataract surgery. We waited for hours before they got to him.

Thank God all is finished now Ann, I am sure you will see Alfie when he is preparing to have a snap shot on you!

Have a nice day!

Oh, I forgot to say, the reason we had to wait so long in the room waiting to go to surgery was...the bag with the supplies was contanimated, had a small hole in the container. They had to get another or do whatever to a new one.

Boogie, isn't it funny how we in SFF worry about each other, just like a real family!

Glad the procedure was carried out successfully and that you are feeling good. We now have three weeks of me putting drops in your eyes four times a day. I guess I have nowhere to hide now you've been fixed, do I? The shed may become a more welcoming place... ummm....

Alfie...

Abelle, I am glad you got through that day and you are recuperating. Happy you have Alfie by your side.

Hi Ann: So glad that 's over and hope the recovery goes well. I didn't know they were going to put you to sleep. My mother had it done wide awake right in the doctor's office. Do you still have to wear your regular glasses?

For now I am wearing my regular glasses but next Wednesday I go back to my eye doctor. I think I may be getting a new prescription for new glasses or at least my right lens. Just will wait and see.....

Glad that is behind you. Welcome to the world of color. I have a couple of friends who had the same procedure recently and report the same.

As for the delays - they seem to be part of the process these days.

Amazing how much the cataract surgery has changed in my llifetime. When I was a student on my medical social worker experience placement I was horrified over the procedure. I am not sure about the operation itself but I remember patients having to lay in bed with sandbags keeping their heads perfectly still for 10 days. And all of that was before good meds to help us chill.
