I watched their faces, mostly as the other was speaking. Trump made his usual array of 'faces', but as the debate ran on, hiLIARy's face began to lose expression and look tired and unfocused, until it was her time to speak. At first, her expressions were animated, but during the last half, she was tight lipped and staring.
I was also surprised at some of the things he did NOT say and I wonder if that helped or hurt him? There are some of his supporters that were wanting him to be the Donald of the primary debates and 'sock it to her', but instead, he showed great restraint.
Time ........ and the polls will tell more than those immediate pundits who are all talking right now.

Whether Hillary had a smug look on her face or not, is as unimportant, as her dress sense. All that counts in ANY election is a person's ability to run HIS/HER country.
"Smug", is entirely in the eye of the beholder and in no way does it affect that ability. The content of the debate is all that is important to the voters...personal dislike is immaterial.

What's good for the country is what should be uppermost in the minds of all voters...surely?

I watched and listened to the Debate. I agree with mrsjoe about Hillary looking tired and spaced out. She sounded as if she had spoken all her words before and was a bit smug too. Trump slipped up a few times I thought and didnt sound too sure of what he was saying. If Americans believed in everything he promised, you would be in paradise. To be honest neither of them were very inspiring and were as boring as hell. Im just giving my impression as an outsider, who is still interested in the USA.

I've watched several channels this morning, and listened to the pundits talk. All seem to lean towards hiLIARy "winning" the 1st debate, but I believe it really boils down to what the watchers think. I don't think this 90 minute face off has changed anybody's mind. If you are planning to vote for hiLIARy, you still are, and the same about Trump.
Both had good and bad moments during the debate....... but do the debates REALLY affect the election? I did notice that AFTER the debate, as usual hiLIARy disappeared and avoided questions. Trump went to the "spin room" where reporters were gathered and spoke to several of them. He is in Florida today, out on the campaign trail again. I just read that she is scheduled to go to NC today.
I believe that is where elections are won and lost......... not debates and not attack ads.

The only post debate poll result was the CNN one..... but most of the pundits, including Fox, were saying that Trump scored well in the first part, then dropped the ball, and hiLIARy took it from then on out.

I have a question....... just what does a tax return show anyway? It doesn't show who or how much a person owes, just their own PERSONAL income, donations, etc. and taxes paid.
Someone who has multiple companies has tax returns for each of those companies......... is that what these people want to see? I doubt most of them would understand them anyway!

I guess it does ...... my question about internet polls though, is how many times can a person vote? If they call you, you get one vote..... if online, can you vote several times? Even if it won't take a vote from the same computer twice, how about several electronic devices in the same house?
