I wondered the same thing initially, and then sort of leaned the other way of thinking that it was just ignorance on her part. Now that I went and read her bio, I am beginning to think I was right the first time around. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I thought her speech was decent as I was listening to it. As the plagiarism was pointed out the next day I just had to laugh. And now hearing that Meredith McIver is a registered Democrat well I'm laughing my ass off. A political prank by Democrats lol ok? In my estimation it's just one more demonstration that Donald Trump has no idea what the hell he's doing.

It really is fun watching the Republicans on here taking the most ridiculous of stances and then DESPERATELY trying to justify themselves. It reminds me of a game of twister and I am waiting for the whole sorry pile to come tumbling down - it would just fit so perfectly into the absurdity of the whole situation. First twisting the usual moral stance into pretzel shapes to try to claim Melania Trump has class. Really? In what universe would that be? A nude model, sometime porn actress and a trophy bride ? Someone who lied about her degree in architecture. Class? You really have to be joking - or you are in some form of reality most of us do not know exists. She may have looks - money can buy those; but she really does not have ANY class because there is no amount of money in the world which can buy that. Second grasping any straw which presents itself to convince themselves that Meredith McIver really is a script writer for Melania Trump and she was the one responsible for the cock up of a speech. McIver had absolutely no presence on social media before yesterday and the hastily cobbled together fb and every pedia pages are a complete joke. The pictures are so poorly 'shopped' they are laughable and the one purportedly showing McIver at a Trump campaign meeting is so obviously the demented Latina with the 'shopped' face of McIver added. The evidence for her Democrat registration? Well it is on the pedia page isn't it? Of course it is lol. The same page which says she has strikingly green eyes when the picture on her brand new fb page has strikingly blue eyes. The same page which tells us that, after 15 years working for the Trump organisation she has only 4 friends - Donald Trump, Melania trump, John Barron and John Miller. How strange that 3 of those friends are all Donald Trump under different aliases he has used in the past. This gets funnier by the hour. The whole charade is a joke - but why would that surprise anyone? When Miss McIver appears in person perhaps that will convince people that she exists but it will still not explain why such a botched up, shoddy cover up was needed to 'prove' her existence. If she is real then where is she?

What conspiracy theory would that be? You appear to be rather defensive to me. I suggest you read what I wrote, not what you wanted me to have written. I made no accusations that Meredith McIver did not exist - although would that not provide an even more delicious note of farce to an already risible affair? I was pointing out the absurdity of the way in which the Trump campaign tried in such an amateurish manner to provide evidence for the existence of a person who had no social media presence until yesterday. I did not say whether I believed she was real or not - could I care less ? What I said was that the evidence put forward was shoddy, insultingly poor and obviously shopped. Why react in such a childish way? It really could not be funnier if it had been written by Max Sennett. I DID say that I would take some convincing that Miss McIver was the script writer for Mrs Trump as the whole train crash of a plagiarised speech could not have been so ignominiously mishandled by anyone but a complete bungling amateur. Surely it was not the work of a vastly experienced writer with such wonderful skills that she can be blamed for cocking up figures in 2 of Trump's books, making a laughing stock of his trophy bride and STILL not hear him say his favourite phrase 'You're fired'. The irony and the sense of the ridiculous really does appeal to my sense of humour.

I am beginning to despair of the reading skills of both of you. There is no conspiracy theory in my post. READ THE BLOODY THING in its entirety. The existence of Meredith McIver is irrelevant to what I wrote. She may well exist, that is not the point. What is obvious is that the story rushed out onto everi f**in pedia is a joke. The evidence evinced is pathetically contrived and some of it is obviously made up. You are deflecting like crazy but you are not addressing the point I made. The whole episode demonstrates the shambles which is the trump campaign. Have you read the everipedia page? IT is a laugh a minute. I am not accusing anyone of being a fictitious person - as I said it would be deliciously farcical if she was but it DOES NOT MATTER. I am laughing at the incompetents who 'shopped' pictures and wrote laughable cover stories with unbelievable details for a real person without any necessity to expose their ridiculously unskilled selves to ridicule in this way. Just produce her and have done with it. I never said they were lying about her existence, I said their scurrying around to produce social media content of such execrable quality was and is a joke which I find hilarious. As to class - yet another deflection. I hold no truck with the ridiculous way in which Diana was made into a saint after her death but to compare her to Melania Trump really defies all logic. Keep posting I am having a whale of a time over here watching the Gordian knot of lies, propaganda and sheer hypocrisy ever tightening round the necks of the Republican party with Trump pulling at the strings. From this side of the pond it is a joke which just keeps on giving and a welcome relief from the idiocy of having Boris Bloody Johnson as Foreign Secretary.

I have finally decided that you really CANNOT READ! What is the point of your reply? It has NOTHING to do with my comments. I gave a detailed list of the ridiculously childish way in which the Trump minions tried to make up a Social Media personality for Meredith McIver and failed so abysmally that it was hilariously funny. I gave a list of the childish mistakes they made in their rush to invent a social media presence through which they made themselves a laughing stock throughout the world. The great winner's is surrounded by a team of simpletons with minimal photoshopping skills and a complete inability to see how amateurish their work was;you go on about why people do not like your candidate. This looks like a non sequitur demonstrating incomprehension.

Perhaps you have become so used to deflection that you cannot think of any other way to argue. Meredith McIver may exist - one day she may actually appear live and in person, although it is a good job no one was holding their breath waiting for that to happen. In my original comment I simply presented FACTS - I now want you to quote the section of that comment in which I said Meredith McIver DID NOT EXIST. I made the observation that they made up a social media presence and that parts of it were farcical. Those actions AND ONLY THOSE ACTIONS are what I called cobbled together and they beg the question why did they do that instead of simply getting Miss McIver to appear for 10 seconds , say mea culpa and have done with it?
