I don't like reading about members verbally abusing other members. That comment was insulting and there is no need for anyone to get nasty. I have been blogging here for about 5 months and I have to admit, when I read comments like this one, it makes me wonder where this dislike started from. I wish it would end. I am not taking sides because I know that what is referred to as the left and the right here, both write things that are uncalled for. This comment however, went one step too far.

No offense Liszt but do you not think there a little too much ado about nothing?

I'm not singling you out Liszt, I just think it a shame to react so strongly - can you not let it pass, see it for what it is? :- )

Hi Liszt: You're right. As far as insults go, that one does seem a little harsh. I think Mitee was probably just kidding around. lol

I don't remember seeing Liszt's blog about his health issues, but glad everything is under control now and hope he will be o.k. I used to do a yearly update on my serious health problems until one regular in the blogs said I deserved to have cancer and he hoped it would kill me. Wow. A lot of people used to write blogs about things going on in their lives, but almost no-one writes anything personal any more in this hostile environment.

I didn't know about Liszt's health issues. I wish him well. My dad had kidney cancer and so did a cousin.

To you and bijou, as far as nasty people, I wrote a story with an interracial couple whereby at the end, the white woman discovered she might be pregnant with the black man's baby. It was well received everywhere but one site. On that site, I got racial comments and one wrote that he hopes I get AIDS and die. This was from writing a story, for heaven's sake. The point is, there are some really sick people out there and anyone who wishes anyone to die because of ANYTHING said on a blog, is sick. That's my opinion.

As my grandmother used to say (doesn't everyone have one of these in their family?) "If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. When anyone gets passionate to the point of stinging and hurtful sarcasm, personal insults and disrespecting others for their beliefs you get what you see here. This goes way beyond one blog that might have been misinterpreted. We all know dragons breath fire. If you poke the sleeping dragon he will wake up and you will get burnt.

It appears this came from Alden Tan's blog, "16 signs of a modern coward". Alden Tan is a 28 year old breakdancer/writer.
A "consensus from a few psychology sites" you say?

16 signs of the Modern Coward by Alden Tan
1) He fears honesty
2) He avoids strong people
3) He hangs out with weak-minded people he thinks he can take advantage of
4) He manipulates words to manipulate people
5) He never apologizes
6) He lay blames on everyone and everything else
7) He makes up excuses and confuses excuses for reasons
He buys into mainstream excuses and thinks it’s ok because everyone else believes the same
9) He’s a crybaby and creates drama to hide the fact that he f**ked up badly
10) He likes to put on a show. And it has no ending
11) He’s a bully
12) He seeks validation online only
13) He doesn’t dare to take on a challenge alone
14) He’s a passive aggressive little bitch
15) He fights back not because he’s right, but to cover up his flaws
16) He feels he can’t go back

Good to know where that one came from. My grandmother, being a very down to earth farm woman, loved Harry Truman, or as she referred to him "Give em hell Harry."

I see little point and get no pleasure from intentionally trying to hurt someone.

I can't think of an instance when i have done that, but perhaps someone will remind me of one.
