Maybe it should be a matter of whatever the person being named is comfortable with. Does it really matter if the rest of us know who it is or isn't? A comment is a comment and a statement regardless of who says it. Should something have more validity if you say it or or I say it? Would something be any more or any less true depending on who said it? There is, after all no anonymous way to make a comment becasue SFF adds our handle to everything.

Hi Liszt: I think it's probably best to use a person's screen name, but I'm guilty of using people's real name sometimes. You're right though, it does sound strange to see people name dropping now that I think about it.

I like this rule in the Terms of Use:

Force Majeure.
Neither you nor we shall be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance hereunder caused by acts of God (or natural disasters), terrorism, strikes, embargoes, fires, war, or other causes beyond the affected party's reasonable control.

I never realized this was a major concern.

At present, I find my handle GLUMO as impersonal, even though those are the initials of my full name. I like when members call me Lucy (it stands from Luz, my second real name). You can see my signature is LUCY. On the other hand, it's easier for me to call someone by her/his real name than by her/his handle.

Rich answered this well. This is a primarily dating / relationships site, not a blog site. As such the protocols of a public forum blog site don't apply. "relationship" indicates closer more selective interaction. This blog section is just an insignificant extra. If it were anything of any consequence do you really think it would be free!
