I can only speak for myself. I give and expect respect. I do not care if someone dislikes me but I do insist that they respect me enough to just stay away from me if this is the case. I do not accept personal insults. If a person does not respect them self no one else will respect them. Only people with lack of self respect will tolerate bad behavior from others. Speaking up includes speaking up for yourself. I block anyone who insists on pursuing insulting and disrespecting me and / or using my blog to do so to others. (so far only 3 for this reason and another is blocked from any kind of contact do to him sending me obscene e-mails) Disagreement is a completely different issue. It does not include name calling. As I have explained many times it's not what you say (disagreement) but how you say it (disrespect). Spiritwoman ^i^

It ain't only the lefities who block people. It's not my fellow commies who do it to me. While I think blocking people is pretty childish, I don't feel strongly about it. If there is a blogger who disallows my comments and I feel the matter important, I simply write my own blog with the same title, and make reference to being unable to comment in the appropriate place. No big deal. There is usually a workaround.

I love insults! I get so many I lose track of them. The thing about insults is that if someone resorts to them, it kinda means they lost the argument. So I view it as equivalent to waving a white flag.
