I like football too.... what N. Americans call soccer.

It sure does help to either have played the game or watched some live matches.
Like basketball, it's popular since all you need is a ball. The size & type of footing is negotiable to fit the space available..... even the type of ball is only limited by what the kids have available.

Hi Liszt: I can't stand football as there doesn't seem to be any skill involved other than knocking over the opponents. I am not a sports fan but somehow soccer seems different than the other sports, and I like it. I just wish they'd make a rule forbidding the players from spitting right on the field where they're playing. Yuk.
