A SPECIAL RARE FERN WHICH I GROW AND OTHERS.....

I have been growing a rare type of fern, which is a long drop to more than 2 meters. It is an indoor plant and it doesn't like too much sun. Therefore, I had to place it in an area from which it gets a little sun from the window and also a free space for all its long drops. So the best place was on the landing of my staircase. It remains green all year round, all its leafy stems drop down to 2 meters +. It has 2 types of small soft leaves, a sort of cotton type and the other is plain and horizontal. It need to be wet or humid all the time, little fertilizer occasionally, guidance to where I want its stems to drop down and removal of the dry leaves. It has a very nice appearance and a fresh look all the time.

The others are other green ferns which I grow, are also for indoors, in the lounge, Sitting room or elsewhere in the house. Then some others which are outdoor plants in my garden. I have taken a few photos to share with all of you. Hoping they will please you. Happy viewing and thanks for your read.
Lisa.

I love ferns but other than a couple of local varieties that grow like weeds our climate here is too dry for them.

Spiritwoman hi,

It's such a pleasure as usual reading you on my blog Spirit, thank you for all and for your appreciation as well. These fern like damp weather and humidity too, Here as we are a tropical country the humidity is quite high and all these ferns grow well. But in too dry weather you must keep on cooling them and keep them wet also. Have an excellent weekend Spirit.
Lisa.

Carolyn, dear Lady, hi,

How great reading from you again on my blog. Hope you are doing fine, health-wise. Thank you for your kind visit and lovely comments as usual. Am so glad you are my partner in gardening, I love gardening so much and any rare plants I can grow I try to do it. The fuzzy one is really a special of fern, it is really rare as well. Its drops go down to more than 2 meters and all my friends here in my country are also stunned on how this fern can drop down so long and having two different kinds of leaves. To be precised, I HAVE GRAFTED IT SINCE IT WAS JUST A VERY YOUNG PLANT. I have grafted two different kinds together, one of the fuzzy type with one of the flat leaves. I had keenly kept an eye on their growth until the first few stems appeared, then dropped down, it was a marvelous success and I was so delighted for it. I have now a new specie of this kind .Afterwards it continued to grow under my supervision till the plant became matured. It took me two years until it became as seen on the pic.
Thank you for your keen interest Carolyn. Hoe reading from you again.
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
Lisa.
