CRITICISM ON MY ENGLISH LANGUAGE Today, I feel obliged to post this intended blog under such Tittle, after being criticized of My simple English Language, such language which I use as simple as I can, to make me understood but never with any pretension to be "A Jack of All Trade"!!, This is not in my nature, I am just a simple and humble person which I am proud of. If one is or pretends to be a Shakespearean , A MASTER OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE or even MORE ROYALIST THAN THE KING!!. I don't give a damn for it, It is not a trump which is written on one's face or as one's credential on SFF here. Blogging on here is not a Competition and there's no Prize or Crown to be won also. It's only for fun, to pass the time, informative sometime or otherwise but it is not an exam or any degree to obtain on here too. I wonder and would like to ask the following: The English Language and Expressions used on here, are they unmistakable, clean and distinct as such!!??. "One shouldn't try pull the straw from others' eyes when he cannot pull those from his own eyes even.!!". I am not and I never pretend to be " MADAM-KNOW-ALL", to criticize and correct everyone. After all, who is far better than others on here!!?. " Elementary dear Watson"!! As Sherlock Holmes used to say. But certainly, my statement does not apply to all the readers, only to those who will identify themselves accordingly. Another thing which, I must also clear out on here, just to satisfy one's curiosity and doubts. Fortunately, I am an Officially Certified French Language Teacher and have obtained my academic university degree in my profession. Oh YES, I had certainly worked abroad as well, in several countries, including anglophone countries most of all. Is it such a surprise??. I shouldn't think so. I never contest any one's profession whatever was mentioned as such .What's my concern or interest in it?. My simple friendship on here. is not based on anyone's profession and status, neither on his nationality, his skin color or his religion. I consider each and everyone, just as an equal human being with the same right. Oh! beside this, my profile details have never been changed since my three years being on SFF and my photos are certainly of me, the same person too. I hope, my above text is adequately clear and understood though written in My Simple English Language ... However, if need be, I can also translate it into French, Creole or Italian!!. You write whatever and however you wish. I always try to read your blogs. To the one or ones that complain, just ignore them. Soon they will be attacking someone else.

Some people are just heartless!! English is one of the hardest languages to learn, it can be very confusing, even to those raised in an English speaking home. We have words that sound the same, but mean something else, like two, too, and to, or there, their and they're, and then words that you would think sound the same but they don't like tomb and bomb, and the list goes on!! I think your use of the English language is beyond simple, and I hope that you keep writing and sharing whatever you want! Don't let one idiot's comment get to you!!

Beth my friend, you are not the only one who is being criticized how we expressed ourselves in English here. Until now they are criticizing me. Someone said that I have a limited understanding in English, The one who was saying that to me has English as her mother language but then she can't even have a good language and right spellings. That's why I posted about "Little learning is dangerous. I am like you, I am a BSE graduate, I taught in high school in the Philippines before I went to Italy. I speak fluently in Italian and and a little in Spanish. My difficulty some times is using the tenses.. past, present, future. I translate like in Italian. Hubby is always correcting me and I am learning. And when I write a nice posts then again they will said that hubby was writing for me. So sorry that people are very arrogant to criticize our English knowing that it was not our own language. Would they speak and write well as we do in their language. I doubt. I was in Italy for 35 years. The first 20 years I did not speak in English because nobody speak English n Italy that time. Thanks God now the younger generations do. Do not trust some people who are trying to be kind to you here, some are not sincere Beth. Sorry I should write my own blog instead of posting on your blog but I am here to support you. Just a bit more of info relating to the Topic of my blog. English language is not my mother tongue, neither is the family communication at home but French and Creole are the most common spoken languages. English is only the official language. French is the traditional and historical language and Creole is our native language.Other optional languages taught at school are: German, Italian, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic and Chinese languages such as: (Cantonese, Mandarin and Aka). My country is really a multiracial, multi-faith, multicultural and multilingual too. I am not bragging but it is the pure truth, you can Google it for confirmation as well. Thank you.

I see no problem with your English. Most of those who pick at other's language usage usually don't even use one language correctly. Don't pay any attention to them. Spiritwoman ^i^

Hi Lisa: It is just heartbreaking to read all the insults and bullying that goes on in this group. I don't know how our society got so mean. When all other insults fail, if we're female they think they can really hurt us if they call us stupid, promiscuous, fat, or unattractive. So sorry if someone hurt your feelings, but please remember that was just one person and there are many many more here who appreciate your blogs and kind replies. Bijou xoxo
