CASELA - NATURE and LEISURE PARK IN MAURITIUS My dear Readers,  You are all warmly welcome to my new blog, which I've promised to be quite different from my recent previous ones. This time, it's about a wonderful, stunning and surprising place in to my country, it is called Casela - Nature and Leisure Park. Casela is a wonderful Nature and Leisure park at the west side of my country, Mauritius. It is the oldest park and has kept on growing throughout the years. With a beautiful view on the valley, the mountain, an eye catch landscape as well as the lush of vegetation, with also the enjoyable forest and Savannah, a beautiful lookout point with stunning views over the west coast, the white sandy beach, the sea and the beautiful sunset. The park is set up with a variety of beautiful exotic plants and flowers. There are more than 1500 different kinds of colorful birds, fawns, lots of endemic trees, giant tortoises, large pools with a variety of aqua species, playground, parking lots, Moreover on the grounds of the Park is located the delicious restaurant Le Mirador. You can also do all kinds of different, varied and fun activities. Many foreign weddings and honeymoons are frequently celebrated in there too. Casela owes many lions, including the white ones, they are from different generations as the cheetahs and others. These wild cats have been tamed with great care and affection so that you have the opportunity to get in direct contact with these amazing animals and enjoy the time you spend with them during your visit at the park. You can also observe these animals in the wild, playing and climbing on trees. The guides will accompany you on the walk and they will give you much information about the behavour of these giant cats. These impressive big cats can be observed from a wooden platform as well. STROKE AND WALK WITH THESE GIANT CATS. After a brief introduction to the important rules of behavour which you should follow during the visit of these animals you can touch, stroke and walk along with them. This is truly special and unique in Mauritius. Back in the park you will be served with refreshing drinks as well as a certificate of your experience with the wild giant cats and a free DVD will also be given to you as a souvenir of your stunned experience. This close contact and the interaction with the wild cats is a very special experience and I can recommend you to take this very rare chance that you will probably never get again. And NO fatal or unwanted accidents have ever occurred in Casela. OTHER ACTIVITIES ARE: Safari Adventures in the Wildlife Park including Walking with the lions, the Tigers, the Cheetahs, the Leopards and Zebras. The have also their own free playground to enjoy many kinds of entertainment, such as the petting farm, fishing ponds etc., according to their age, under the supervision of the guides. I wanted to share with my readers this beautiful part and leisure of my country really. As we are, as I know, the only country in the Indian ocean having such possibilities for everyone to encounter such live activities and closeness to these giant cats. Boogie my dear friend, Thank you for appreciating so much this blog of mine. I was eager to show all of you how far my small country has gone in the Tourism and attraction too. It is eventually a very very beautiful place to visit and to spend the day out there. Beside it's wonderful birds park, it's eye catch landscape, the beautiful lookout point, it is really stunning. We used to go there as frequent as we could, it's really another kind of life in there. I wish one day you and your son and g/son, have the opportunity to visit this place and my country at large and taste the difference really. Thank you for your appreciation these real photos. Solitaire my dear, Thank you greatly for your visit and your wonderful comments which have eventually pleased me so much. So glad to read that the pictures have so much pleased you as well as the others, it's true that they are really stunning as I said and also those foreign models who posed with these great cats too, I should upload them as they are and not to hide any part of the presentation of the Nature and Leisure place or of my country as well. But as long as all of my readers appreciate them, then it's a great and absolute pleasure for me. If there's any who are against the photos of these models with the big cats, I can only say is " Not to view them"!!. If these offend their feelings religiously, culturally or otherwise, I shouldn't mind as long as all my other readers appreciate them. I uploaded all these photos for all of you as well. Solitaire, the original big cats were imported specially for this Leisure Park long time ago and their offspring have been born here eventually and been tamed as well. That's how they are not offensive to any human as you can see on these pictures. Lots of tourists come to Casela to experience this as well. Hope you can experience it as well some days. Lisa, I am really unable to understand what information the Administrators of this beautiful NATURE and LEISURE PARK possibly intend to provide to the visitors by showing some big cats just behaving like pussy cats??? Do you not think that these cats would have looked more prettier and ferocious in the wild? Lisa, I would like them to live out their lives in the wild fighting for survival day in and day out! These pretty animals must not be used to amuse the visitors who will surely go back home with wrong impression about them!! Kindest Personal Regards to you Lisa, look

Looklook, Replying to your surprising inability to understand why This Nature and Leisure Park provides such attraction of these big cats to tourists, I would like to enlighten you hereby. 1- (a) First of all, they are not PUSSY CATS as you have wrongly misinterpreted it, there is a great difference between a pussy cat and these friendly tamed beautiful animals, mind you. (b) The Leisure Park provides, what you can't understand too, it's an exceptional experience to the tourists coming here, which they may not have thought possible before. 2- To your second question, I may request you to ask all developed countries to close all the zoos, circus and parks all over the world, to suit your your presumption!!!. Then all human beings would wander in the wild forest to show their kids, live animals as these big cats too, just as at stone age!!. but we are not living in such epoch/ period nowadays. We are more civilized than those of that prehistoric or primeval time. 3- To your likeness, you would like to see them fighting ferociously for their survival in the wild!!, you can just do that by arming yourself with bows and arrows and just go wandering in the wild forests. But here Tourists want to experience such adventures at least once in their life and many do come back for that and for all the other wonderful attractions found in my country as well. 4- Comparing to how these beautiful animals here are taken care of, treated and looked after, they are fortunately far better than those children and adults seen fetching into heaps and mountains of dirt and garbage to look for their livings, in those poor countries. Just Google them and you'll find the real truth. 5- Remember Looklook that all people with their kids going to the zoos, circus and parks, these are also a sort of amusement for them, they don't go there to expect human beings in the zoo and those places, but animals, whichever type they are. And tourists are so proud to have experienced such adventures with the big cats here as they had never experienced before and they never had any controversial thoughts as you stated. But they are so extremely happy and had congratulated The Leisure Park for this unbelievable achievements in my small country. I hope having enlightened all these points to you here. Sorry Lisa, you could not possibly understand the real meaning of my post left on your blog though I thought that being an environmentalist yourself, you will read my views correctly. Anyway, You have all the right to express your views. Unfortunately, those views have nothing to do anything with my comments. I wanted only to point out that a Lion or a Tiger or even a cheetah should behave like a Lion or Tiger or a cheetah living even in captivity in a Zoo where visitors go to obtain first hand ideas about animals as they really are or expected to be. I have read the second installment of your blogs on the subject and have taken the opportunity to leave a post there on an hour or so before!
