Trump sucks the oxygen out of the room just by being in it. I'm sure she knew that when she married him and they have a good working marriage...... he has his life and business duties and she has hers, doing what she wants, which apparently at this moment is being a wife and mother. I've known people who moved during a school year, and drove their children back and forth to keep them in the same school. Would the critics prefer they did that? You know, SHE did not ask for this. I don't think the spouses of politicians do get involved very often............. AND he wasn't a politician in the first place, so this is a MAJOR change for her. AND.......... he hasn't been in office very long, so why can't they just leave her alone and let her get used to this new life? Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Most human beings have different strengths, shortcomings, and characteristics. There are no cookie cutter first ladies nor should we expect them to be. I have never been inclined to criticize or nit pick a first lady even if I disagree with her husband's policies. I suspect that Melania prefers to stay in the background while Ivanka will take on the typical functions of the First Lady. This has happened with past presidents. Abracadabra
