Where I have worked, in the medical field, there was also a 1 time "no show, no call" policy. It was totally explained at the time of hire, that it meant the employee quit, and would be strictly enforced. Occasionally, the worker was given a second chance, but most never came back.
Calling in to let your employer know that you won't be in for your shift is just common courtesy, and those who didn't bother to do it when they wanted to go to the protest showed total lack of concern for their employers and their coworkers. They should lose their jobs, and it shows their idiotic thinking that they were surprised.
I'm sure there are many others who are standing in line for those jobs!

I'll not quote your comment about the wine, but it made me smile! Talk about WHINE...... lol.
And what was that comment about "the hatred espoused by Eric Trump" referring to? His comment that a KKK leader deserved a bullet? I would have thought the liberals would have cheered that comment?
Or perhaps his hatred that is shown when he raises and donates money to St. Jude's?
If they scream it loud enough and often enough, it has to be true.... or at least some people will believe it and repeat it.

Employers do not profit from workers?
Someone needs to take a good cost accounting course.

    Quoting  :

Payroll is an input cost into the product.
All the inputs add up to the cost of the product.
The selling price less the product cost equals the gross profit.
