Great post Maisie. Nothing more to add except John Fischer was just doing what his wife Kara Eagle told him to do like any emasculated man would.

It may seem difficult for you, but it is about fear, and it's about bravery. it's about unity to overcome fear. It's not even specific about any one thing it about all things.. And if you wonder... "for whom the bell tolls... It tolls for thee". As you are the one that uses fear.

What the march, yesterday said to me, was unity. Not derisiveness. Opposing faces, finding common ground.

Whatever anyone has to say about the reason for the march, it doesn't matter.

Look into the face of the marchers..........

Never has it been been seen, never in our history....It wasn't done to instill fear, It was not a black rights march, not a feminists march, not an abortion march, not an ideology march, not an immigration march, not a gay march, nor a free the prisoner march. It was a unifying march
It was a march.... to free us all from fear.

Believe what you like, but as look into the faces of those marchers. See yourself... For somewhere in those faces...... you are there

First off, massive national and international protests against a US President on Inauguration Day is absolutely unheard of until now! Period.

So no, I'm not seeing it as fear. Fear of loosing food stamps or Obama phone; not likely. Bush passed out Obama phones before Obama did it LOL. And trump didn't talk much about entitlements anyway did he? ... except to say he would make healthcare more affordable and better ... 'Your gonna love it, believe me'

I couldn't agree more it's about respect.

Most of the protests are from people PRETENDING to have grievances and "fears" that they really don't have, in an effort to convince the masses that they too need to "protest" and "fear", even tho there is no danger to anyone.

College profs calling for "safe spaces" for their students, don't really believe the students are at risk. They are pretending to believe that in order to try to sway the naïve students into thinking they have something to be afraid of.

We see it in here too. Certain bloggers post outrageous claims and feigned shock about Trump, the GOP, and conservatives in general, but the truth is they don't really believe their own BS. They're just hoping we're stupid enough to fall for it.

GBU all,

Gavin

They are afraid of lies, they afraid Trump is a liar,
they are afraid of people, who choose to believe lies.

the are afraid of hidden truths. they are afraid because they want to know what's going to happen, and they can't trust anybody

So their solution is to take over... You can't stop them.

Great blog, Maisie!! Totally agree... it boggles my mind, especially yesterday's world wide 'Women's March'. for equality? I didn't realize we were an oppressed bunch!!! Our own Canadian Liberals are the same, believe me... quotas to bring in more Muslims over the next few years... mainly for the Liberal vote. Now those women marching should be very afraid of what those young Muslim men have been doing and will continue to do... assaulting (& other atrocities) women in our own country!!

I saw this on FB yesterday and felt it was worth copying:

ARE YOU OPPRESSED?

Are women in your country able to :

• Vote?
• Drive?
• Wear what they want?
• Go to school?
• Divorce their husband?
• Own property?
• Go out alone?
• Be uncircumcised?
• Have a career?
• Choose who to marry?
• Get help if abused?

If you answered ‘yes’ to the above, then

CONGRATULATIONS!
YOU’RE NOT OPPRESSED!!
