I agree with your blog, and most emphatically with the first statement. Oh, and Skariff is so right on, too!
There are always a few "bad" cops, who let the authority go to their heads..... but overall, I believe most just want folks to follow the laws, be peaceful, and they want to go home to their families after their shift.


Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I was there Maisie. In 1967 I was Maid of Honour at my cousin's wedding in Detroit. The riots were going on and there was a curfew. Four of us were driving home in the Best Man's convertible and we could see someone up on a rooftop pointing a rifle at our car. The driver stepped on the gas and we were lucky to get out of there. How terrifying and what a mess that city was in and with those riots and the demise of the auto industry there, beautiful Detroit never recovered.
