Usain Bolt - the worlds fasters sprinter for the past few years - is not fair. I think he should wear lead shoes so I can compete. I'd also like to play in the NFL. All of the current players need to be tied up so I can compete (and make a multi-million-dollar salary).

So let me do my best (which isn't good enough) to explain what I think. What we see in others is not what they do...It's what we do, or want to do.. They have victims too.... They are the victims of illegals Unborn children are victims Christianity is a victim Their freedom and rights are a victims people who are taxed are victims gun owners are victims I have no doubt that creating a victim gets Democrats elected. but it's what the Republicans do, and want to do to get elected.

Maisie, I wish I had the answers, but I don't..I only know what I think. I know I'm torn between caring too much and not caring at all. I know I'm frustrated. It's tiresome to point out the errors of other people ways and not have the answer. When I speak, I tend to live in this world of SFF. But today I noticed that this SFF is the outside world we all live in. Some people hide from it, some people try to manipulate it, some people try to control it. and some people are just damn mean. I know they don't have the answers either. What I do know and the answer I have is that all this is going to end badly. There are no other foreseeable choice. This can not be a win/win situation, but can be a lose/lose one. Who's to blame...we're all to blame.

There's a saying, it goes......my enemy's enemy is my friend. Wells, here's the rub, that's just about the only reason I can find to make maisie my friend I keep a bag next to my computer for everytime I am forced to defend you, so I can throw up. Gender, with little exception, should not be a factor in hiring or promotion. Accomplishment and ability should. If a woman has not achieved the same skill level for the same job as her male counterpart, because she takes off months every few years , is him making more money"unfair"? And that was the partial point of my blog maisie, Taking the capitistic approach, that's not true. Women's potential is more limited. One could say that an employer would be punishing those who don't get pregnant because of those that do. Employers are basing their decision on a "could be" instead of a " what is." The general conception of that would be that the employer is wrong. But, there is a failure to see the truth. That truth is that investors totally make decisions based on "could be''. Women and Pregnacy have nothing to do with their decisions. Their decisions are based on what everything represents and not what it is...that is their truth, that's how they operate. Your statement above is silly and you know it. The truth goes way beyond, men who actually work deserve more than women who don't.. if in fact that women, brought more to the bottom line, they wouldn't care if she was pregnant or not or could get pregnant, she'd get paid as much if not more. Most jobs, however, are not clear cut as to profit margin they bring in. So pregnancy, now becomes, the need to hire replacement, in the short term. then the return to work less productive , and then having to do something with a new hire they wouldn't have hired without the pregnancy in the first place. So salary, can be related to production, but hourly can be related to increase costs. Either way pregnancy, reduces the bottom line.

What I have said may sound harsh to women, but it is the way it is. The facts of the capitalistic system is that employees are commodities not people. Don't kid yourself to be fooled by what employers say about people mattering....they don't Return on investment and bottom line is the only thing that matters. The other stuff, for the most part, is just bullshit!

let's look at story that happens everyday. A new employee is hired at an hourly wage or salary. That new employee is the best employee in the company, most productive, most reliable, most trustworthy. Okay what happens..... does he get paid what he/she worth, does he/she get an immediate raise, does he/she even get a pat on the back. No, that doesn't happen to he/she. It only happens to the person that hired him/her. maisie, You know and I know that a man or women in itself makes no difference. One can turn this into, women are victims, but it just isn't so. We understand it's not the gender that matters, genders not the issue in itself. Hopefully we evaluate people on what they bring to the table. That exactly what employers do. It just so happen that woman bring potential pregnancy to the table. Typical liberal thinking.......create equality.....make women equal to men..... They know not what they do..... liberal idea of equality, means more cost to employers, means more bottom line reduction for pregnancy. means to the employer that pregnancy become even more a discriminating issue than it already is. It doesn't solve anything, it just makes things worse. Their liberals failure is recognize that in the workforce men and women are already equal.......neither one of them matters.

How do women get a fair shake in the Conservative world? The Conservative position rabidly opposes abortion, thus depriving a female of a choice of what to do with her own body. However, in the same breath, women are penalized for actually having a baby. Women can't be allowed to rise in the commercial world because they might get pregnant. In other words, a female must continue a pregnancy to its natural conclusion, but when that conclusion occurs they should, apparently, plan on having the child during their lunch hour so as not to interfere with the business world. Conservative credibility might take an up swing if only they would stop for some time to think about creating some consistency in their positions. skariff, We discuss the way things are....we cannot change it with our words. We can only identify it. Others try to tell us, it's not the way it is, because they don't want to have to deal with it, they need us to believe something else. About sixty years ago, someone came up with brilliant idea of creating a corporation for the sole purpose of protecting one personal assets. To mitigate one personal responsibility. Since that time, it has morphed into the position that corporations have no personal responsibility and the people who make corporate decisions have no responsibility There was a time when businesses were owned by entrepreneurs, people who made decisions. Some of those decisions balanced the good of the company with the good of the employees and the integrity of the ownership. We now live in a corporate country, not only in business, but in government and personal dealings. The responsibility that once was individual has disappeared. Those few, sixty years ago, by protecting themselves, changed us all.

So, if a female is 45 years old and starts a career, why does she still make less than males for the same job? She would be, after all, past child bearing age. skariff, here's my riddle for you... Two MEN work for a company, both do the exact same job and do it equally as well.....One of them gets paid less than other..is that fair? You need to start there, before making it a gender issue.

You may have missed the point. Currently, if a male and a female hold identical jobs, females earn less than the male. It's not a lifetime or a career, it's a weekly paycheck. You are correct, however, it is math...males make more skariff, You actually buy into that shit? salaries have social implications? What's a man to do that doesn't make as much as another man doing the same job...claim homosexual inequality? people make different money for the same job for a multitude of reasons. So all the male models and male porno stars need to file grievances for not making as much for the same job as their female counterparts Gender alone is not a factor. You can't make a case because women can get pregnant... if you can, I could make a case that men don't have tits!
