    Quoting LeafTreat:
Dick Cheney was wrong....time after time after time.
He was not wrong all the time.

In an interview in the mid-90's he presented a cogent argument why deposing Saddam and occupying Iraq was not a good idea.

Both sides have been 'on the wrong side of history'.

In the 30's it was the left that revered the USSR.

In the 60's it was the right that adhered to the Domino Theory, thus killing 55,000 American kids and a couple of million Vietnamese.

It certainly appears at this stage that the neo-cons were on the wrong side when they took down Saddam and occupied Iraq.

Foreign occupiers have always been on the wrong side of history in Afghanistan. The British learned that in the 19th century, and I was surprised they didn't take that experience to heart in the 21st.
