Elephants in colorful Jumpers and Pajamas!!

Mathura elephants get jumbo sized sweaters!

Pictures of some of the giant Mathura (India) elephants dressed in gorgeously knit sweater!

"It all began last year when the women living in villages near the Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Centre in Mathura joined forces to knit and crochet jumbo sweaters and pajamas for elephants."

Abelle, I do not know whether the elephant (the first one) is smiling or not but I am sure that the elephant looks happy to me.

MySeek,hello...

Thank you so much for stopping by and for your comments! The idea is no doubt great! It all started last year when temperatures dipped to a point where it was cold even for thick skinned elephants! I feel like thanking those village ladies who helped these elephants to look colorful and to feel good at the same times! Have a wonderful weekend, MySeek.

Great! Is it because of cold weather or to protect them from the hot sun rays?
Never had seen something like this! Thank you Looklook.

Hello,Abelle...
You could be right,Abelle! The elephants in the two pictures pointed by you must be laughing at each other finding them attired in such colorful clothing, lol.
