Am I Expecting Too Much?

Is it too much to expect for living in peace and harmony ?

The appended picture reveals to us something that can change the whole world if it could be practiced and followed initially by each one of us who may practice different faiths anywhere –right from North to South, from East to West!

Could it be possible for the Christians to perform mass not requiring the fellow Muslim neighbors make a ring around their churches for protecting the devotees?

Could it be possible for the Muslim devotees to say prayers in peace not requiring the fellow Christian brothers make a safety ring around their open prayer ground?

Could it be really accomplished during our life time?

I do not know whether this could be done in the near future or within next fifty years!
I could only ponder on it.
However, I could only forecast that unless we learn quickly to live in peace and harmony side by side everywhere in this planet, our chance to survive in this world is racing away from us very rapidly and the doomsday is not far from us. We shall only destroy ourselves!

Happy Reading:

Not until people get to know each other person to person rather than a stereotype. Recent world events have done much to keep us apart on a personal level and drive us apart.

The medium cuses most of the problems with their dramatic news in daily newspapers and tv. In Ireland. I dont turn tv any more until the first news, turn it off and then watch after 6 pm. I ike Morse, Endeavour, Midsomer Muders. There are no dramatic news here just a type of everyday life, (withoutt thee murders but them are haappening in Ireland, especially at night. The Irish Police are doing a great job and their best but there have been cut backs in the Police Force. and police stations shut down due to cutbacks. My religious is very private tomee as are a lot of other matters going on in my life and I just would nt reveal them here. I agree with Puzzles.

Thank you so much for passing by my blog. Your question that you have since left on the post is a vital one, no doubt. However, it depends on what you mean by the term real peace! Thanks again for being here.

Maisie,Hello.

Delighted to read from you once again here on my blog page after some considerable time! Maisie, I would never consider you a cynic because you are not one! Nothing is impossible in the world. Think about the congenial atmosphere that you enjoyed while working in the Walmart chain stores along with people of various nationalities! Your final point is well taken. Allow me please to say here that societies as whole would do it only when individuals would start doing it.
Thanks again for your balanced and thoughtful comments. Have a wonderful weekend.

Puzzles,Hello.
. I agree with your well thought views that you have expressed on your post at above. As I have told to spirit that there is no harm in trying, we should endeavor to bring peace and harmony among all, irrespective of cast and creed! I also wonder why the media should play up the tensions that make the individual fearful! Yes, Puzzles, there is one God and all the humans pray to Him. God loves us all equally!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments left here on my blog page. It pleases me most when I hear from you here. It is really sad to observe such Prayer scenes, Akamatt! Yet, we may continue to see such pictures in future too unless we learn to live peacefully with people practicing different faiths! These two pictures you might not have seen in MASS MEDIA. I guess!

Have a wonderful weekend, Akamatt. Stay well and happy too!

Mary Ann hello,
We are not in charge of our lives, Mary Ann, Our political leaders are actually responsible for our lives! If you analyze further then you will be shocked to find that the business men throughout the world control our lives through the political leaders everywhere! I agree with you. One can really pray at home and people should love their neighbors and fellow men!

Hello,akamatt
Thank you so much for your kind comment.I do not know many intricate things about other religions which I do not practice! I even get confused when I try to analyze some finer points of my own religion.
" Cattle are venerated within the Hindu religion of India. According to Vedic scriptures they are to be treated with the same respect 'as one's mother," If you want to know more about the matter then I would suggest you to consult the free encyclopedia, Thanks again,Akamatt for stopping by my post. Have a nice weekend and take care of yourself always.

Look look- In India Cows are Worshipped - It wasn't meant to be sarcastic !!
Faith Girl,Hello,
In India cows are not worshiped. Rather Cows are respected by the Hindus for various reasons.

I have no problem if your comment was not meant to be sarcastic.

Though I was born in British India. two years after Hitler attacked Poland, I am not a Hindu. But I respect Hindus!

However, before making such comments, we must learn why Hindus respect cows. Cows are greatly respected in Nepal and Burma too.

"People in the Vedic period were primarily pastoral. They relied on the cows for milk and dung. Cow dung is one of the main fuels in rural India and also served as a fertilizer. Cow dung and cow urine is also thought to be an disinfectant among ancient Indians and used to clean up home. Thus, cow provided the food, fuel, disinfectant and fertilizer for the Vedic people.

Hindu scriptures have always considered milk as among the highest forms of food - Satvic. Cow's milk is believed to have a great calming effect and improves meditation.

A product of cow's milk - ghee (clarified butter) - is used for Yajna (fire worship). Fire worship is the highest form prayer for Hindus. This adds religious significance to cow's products.

Despite its big size, a cow is a calm animal and non-threatening - you could see cows quietly roaming Indian roads. Hindus have always appreciated the tolerance, patience and calmness of the cow.

Thus, cows stood for the goodness of Hindu religion and considered a representative of Dharma. Also, a cow's affection to its calf is a beautiful thing and Vedas greatly appreciated this bonding.

Sustainability: Ancient Indians probably ate meat when they wandered in the grasslands. However, as soon as they settled and the population near Ganges exploded, they saw the issues cropping. The key was water pollution from the slaughterhouses. Both the leather industry and slaughter industry hugely polluting industries and thus taboos quickly came.

In some ways, cows for Indians are like the pets in the Western Culture. You don't see dog meat, cat meat in the US as these are the animals people have in their homes and form a special bonding with. For some Westerners, killing a dog for meat can be as gruesome as killing a human for meat. In the same way, many of Indians formed a special bonding with their cows.

Hindus don’t worship cows. They respect, honour and adore the cow."
