A Twilight Garland of Clouds

A twilight garland of clouds
You are to me, my secret muse,
The wondrous bird of my solitary sky.
My heart has painted you with all its shades.
You are my own, my very own
Traveler of my life within.

I have tinged your feet
With my bleeding heart,
Beloved bird of my twilight sky.
I have fancied your face
With passions of venom and grace,
Of my tears and laughter.
You are my own, my very own
Traveler of my lone dreams.

I have toned your eyes
With the dreaminess of worship,
Coveted love of my drunken eyes.
I have wreathed you lovingly with my music.
You are my own, my very own,
Solitaire of my life and death.

Mary Ann.
I am very pleased to read from you here as usual Mary and delighted to learn that some of the photos are liked by you. The poet has compared his beloved with the incoming twilight clouds that appeared to him as a garland! You can enjoy hearing the song by clicking the link www.youtube.com/user/sharfulanam if you like.
Meantime, have a nice week.

What a beautiful poem - very moving. I very much like how the author likens clouds to garlands - certainly widens perspectives. As a lover of clouds I very much appreciated the photos, simply beautiful - the last in particular intriguing as the figure seems to be defying gravity (?)

Thanks for your post. May be the last one tells us what may happen if one enters into an emotional relationship with someone who changes her lovers as used tooth paste tubes!

Brigitte.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for leaving there on such a wonderful thought provoking comment for me to read and understand too! It appears that you like Rumi like I do. This particular song was written by R.N. Tagore long after Rumi died! Hope you Like Tagore's poems too. Here under are some lines from Rumi for you to read kindly and ponder too.

ONCE a beloved asked her lover: "Friend,
You have seen many places in the world!
Now - which of all these cities was the best?
He said: "The city where my sweetheart lives!"

Brigitte, may be the lover is yet to visit the city where his sweetheart livesI
May be, his sweetheart is waiting for some other poet to visit her first from another island city before she could permit others to visit her!!
Have a wonderful time, Brigitte. Take care and remain cheerful.

Thanks for the post,MLLD Lisa. The Bengali translations seem to be not correct. However I understood what you have wished to tell me. Thanks again for it. Sorry for delay in responding as I had to pass last few days in the hospital. Take care. Always remain cheerful. Best wishes.
