Twitterpated.

What does it mean by the term ‘neurochemical explanations of love’?

Let us forget the question for the time being as the term may sound too complicated for a person like me to analyze and then find an answer to understand why and how do we fall madly in love?

Therefore, it is better to download the concerned animated film Bambi and listen and view what the wise old owl says to Thumper to explain why and how one falls madly in love!

For those of my lazy friends who would not even like to download the related Bambi movie , I should append the conversation that took place between Thumper and the Friend Owl in the movie
Quote
Thumper: Why are they acting that way?
Friend Owl: Why, don't you know? They're twitterpated.
Thumper: Twitterpated?
Friend Owl: Yes. Nearly everybody gets twitterpated in the springtime. For example: You're walking along, minding your own business. You're looking neither to the left, nor to the right, when all of a sudden you run smack into a pretty face. Woo-woo! You begin to get weak in the knees. Your head's in a whirl. And then you feel light as a feather, and before you know it, you're walking on air. And then you know what? You're knocked for a loop, and you completely lose your head!
Thumper: Gosh, that's awful." Unquote

Hope, my friends will agree now that none can give such memorable and accurate description of falling madly in love than the wise Old Friend Owl. The descriptions say us why and how we fall madly in love.

May be I should also tell my friends the meaning of the word (I believe that they all know it) ‘twitterpated’.

According to English Dictionary, the word twitterpated means:

1. Excited or overcome by romantic feelings; smitten.
Contemporary definitions for twitterpated :
1. Confused by affection or infatuation

I trust that my friends would now permit me to skip the question appeared on the top of this page!
May be, I should also say that love affects the everyday life of every person in this way or that way!!

Happy reading friends

LookLook that is a cute lighthearted blog. Twitterpated is a cute way of expressing one's feeling when overwhelmed with all those romantic notions. Using Bambi and Thumper to illustrate it was cute. Nice to see a blog such as this.

Yes, I agree with your excellent comment though I did not experience such emotional relationship when the time was ripe for me! However, I have since been experiencing it at the fag end of my life and the feelings are no doubt beyond my imagination though sometimes I make a mess of everything! Take care and may God bless you always.

Looklook, your above blog has given us a good read.
‘Neurochemical explanations of love’ is a specific behavioral and physiological responses via central and sympathetic neurochemical adaptation, a fundamental link to adaptive stress coping strategies during social interactions. Things or events that evoke a specific functional reaction in an organ, which arouse activity or energy in someone in a state of nervous excitement. It does happen to lots of people among which I have also been. It's a natural feeling.
Though I have not watched that above mentioned movie but am glad reading the extract which you've above included. thank you for the blog. I wish you all my best and have a pleasant weekend. Keep well and happy always MBN.

    .
Lisa, thank you so much for telling us the meaning of the term ‘neurochemical explanations of love’. I see no reason to disagree with you in this respect.
However, being a simple person, I am very much inclined to go with the old owl of Bambi in this respect. I believe that ‘the experience of being ‘twitterpated’ is universal, and one with which humankind has long been preoccupied. Of all subjects, it seems ‘twitterpation’ is one of mankind’s most discussed, analyzed, dissected, researched and indulged.’
I would never fall madly in love or even love with any one who would show me everything concerning her, about her environment, about her relatives, kids, grand kids and so on including her house where she lives now!
The person will never succeed to impress me by telling that these things were never shown to any one else before me! The person may also show me the photos of her deceased life partner, kids, husbands or daughter-in-laws in order to impress me for falling for her madly in love. Only a greedy person will agree to fall for her. Not someone who is looking for true love. I shall never sell myself in exchange for all the wealth of the world. Hope that you .understand what I mean. I would only request you to ponder on what I said here! Thanks once again for your comments.Wishing you all my best. Have a wonderful week.Take care of yourself. Be happy and remain always cheerful. MLLD.
